Water service area on 2016 on model 31KE Winnie

Today I completed my first trip with my new to me Winnie. Everything seemed to go well until it was time to dump the black and grey water. First I’m rather dismayed that they chose to put the dump connector in the same receptacle area as my fresh/city water input. This doesn’t seem very sanitary? I noticed that the connector was pointing in an “upward” direction making it difficult to attach the hose and there was still waste water that I could see in there. I read in the manual that “certain” models have connectors that swivel. I don’t see any way it turns or swivels. Is this a normal configuration for this motorhome?

It probably does swivel, they are just hard to turn

The connector is tilted upward making it difficult to attach the hose. I’ve tried to swivel it down but it doesn’t seem to want to move.

Yes that should swivel. Grab it with both hands and push down.

If it's hard to move you may have to loosen the bolts on each side move till you like were you got it re tighten it.
