Happy to know you know your RVs, Yes the chassis is 24 and I carry a Diesel Jerry can old school here as this was on my first long trip, note the attached photo. I can still recall the last dash on the Fuel gauge was flashing. And the can is not inside the van.The older Sprinters were only 24 gallons, he is lucky to have 30 on the newer chassis.

We traveled through Canada to Alaska. Rule of thumb for us was when the tank hits 1/2 tank start looking for a station. Also, carry a an extra fuel just in case. Your route might have more towns than we did when we got north of Edmonton. Happy travels. As stated, we are looking into a drive across Canada. We will be driving up from Florida. No dates have been set and it may not happen this year. Our 2021 Galleria is a diesel holding 30 Gallons. We did once look into the train across Canada, but to many stops and go's, with disembarking at each stop. "too crazy for us" We talked about the three points of entry shown by the red arrows. Then on the exit, we would drive down to see the grandchildren in Utah. Stay a few weeks and drive back to Florida. Suggestions, thoughts, questions? Let's see, I think my question hits all the 5-Ws, Who - the two of us folks in our 70s, What - Canada, When - Unknown, and the Where is on the MAP. As for Why - never been, we have wanted to visit

And it's still busy!If you can do it in September, that would be ideal.
Most in-depth with distances thanks I will try checking a few if not all. Well, done sir. Thanks again.i don't know if this will be any help to you or anyone else, but here's a list of the campsites and distances we traveled from West of Edmunton AB to Sault St Marie. For your ease this is the reverse of our actual route. Because we are self contained, we hardly ever now use campground washrooms, so we can't comment on those facilities. Our comments were valid at the time of visiting in July 2022.
Sault St Marie ON: Glenview cottages and campground. Friendly hosts, clean easy site for our 34ft. fifth wheel. Would stay again.
Hattie Cove campground ON: Distance 245 miles. A little tight backing into our site, but nice campground.
If you are aware of the book Winnie the Pooh, do not miss stopping off in White river to see where the true story all began. (Also worth watching the film "A bear named Winnie")
Thunder Bay ON. Distance 205 miles. Chippewa park. OK campground. We visited Kakabeka falls, Fox viewpoint, both worth seeing.
Wabigoon ON. Distance 215 miles. Wabigoon Lake campground. Very friendly host, convenient to highway. Would stay again.
Clearwater Bay ON. Distance 143 miles. Pye's landing and RV park. friendly host and large pull through sites. Would stay again.
Macgregor Manitoba. Distance 143 miles. Macgregor Lions club Campground. Loved this site, very peaceful and fees going to good causes. Would definitely recommend.
Grenfell Saskatchewan. Distance 201 miles. Grenfell recreational park and campground. A place to stop if you must but the campground was muddy and tight to negotiate. Would not recommend.
Battleford Saskatchewan. Distance 331 miles. Eileen Kramer campground. Decent campground but we were inundated with mosquitoes the night we stayed.
Alberta Beach AB. Distance 285 miles. Alberta Beach golf club. Decent campground with a bar. If it's still open we thoroughly recommend dining at "Mama's in the kitchen" Don't be fooled by the appearance of the place, it's busy for a reason, excellent food, large portions and as cheap as chips.
very busy - the fall is when the larches turn golden - unless you are dying to see it and like crowds, I would avoid this time of year. And it's still busy!
To add to this, an alternative is Ft William Historic Site (not near nor associated with the Fort William Indian Reservation) Anyhow, you can get sites with water and electric and a picnic table for $40cn a night and there is a dump station, showers and restrooms. It is wide open grass, so your solar will work well if you want a plain site with no hookups for $25cn a night.Thunder Bay ON. Distance 205 miles. Chippewa park. OK campground. We visited Kakabeka falls, Fox viewpoint, both worth seeing.
