We sold the FW and delivered it to the new owner a week ago on Saturday. On Monday we headed for Florida to buy our new to us Class A. Pics are attached.
We bought it at Campers Inn Jacksonville West location. I would highly recommend this dealership. They were friendly, open and honest, easy to work with. We knew up front it was a take it as is or leave it deal. It included a 2 hour walk thru with a senior service tech. He (we) found a couple issues he fixed in the two hour window - no charge. One was the passenger seat did not swivel. Tightened a cable I could not have reached. It took us 4 days on the road to get home, and we are delighted with the unit.

It is a 2016 Itasca Sunstar 30T. We love the floor plan. The sofa and credenza dinette with a elevator are in opposing slides. It has a decent size kitchen. This unit has almost every option offered, including a second A/C, 50Amp service, larger 5500 watt generator, power driver seat, convection microwave with no oven (more big drawer storage) and more. Front seats and sofa fabric is in great condition.

Known acceptable defects include main TV is dead. All wiring is good, but TV is toast. Door lock key only works on latch lock, and with key in only one direction, and is hard even then. (New lock ordered from the road) Sirius XM works kinda. The antenna is shot. On the way home I discovered one headlight was out. We try to NEVER drive at night anyway.

There will be many more posts as I climb the Winnie Class A learning curve.

How excited you have to be to get what you wanted and everything worked out. Have a BLAST in your new rig.

A new TV is not a negative IMO, technology makes improvements very fast. I have a 6 yr old main TV that works fine, but newer TV's are automatic, whereas mine must be changed manually via the menu at almost every RV park.

Congrats Grashley, We'd love to hear about your transition from a 5th wheel to a Class A. I suspect that in a few years DH might consider a change from a 5th wheel to a Class A or a Class C.

Download these, and save them to a thumb drive. Keep them in the black pouch with the manual. It appears you have a Sunstar LX.

Wiring diagrams and electrical equipment installation drawings.

3D parts catalog. This is interactive and you cannot download it, you can only open it on the WBO website.

If you have any issues accessing any of this, go to this web page, and select "guides and resources" for the wiring, plumbing, paint and sealant links. Select the "3D Service Parts Lookup" for the coach parts, and using drop downs, select the year, model, etc. (you need to do all of this from a desktop or laptop). There is also a link for second owner registration and one for operators manual.

I’m younger than you. Will be curious of how you like the transition.
In edit—Sorry CONGRATS should have been first as this is what you decided you wanted going forward. And its working out!!

Congratulations! We had various trailers for 35+ years, and we had a great time with them. But we bought the Class A 7 years ago (ages 65 and 63) because we just got tired of the setup and tear down. We do a lot of traveling, so it was a frequent task. Now all we have to do is punch a few buttons and voila! And the bathroom and kitchen don’t require us to go outside to get to them while traveling. Because we had RVed for so many years first, we knew what we wanted, and our rig is perfect for us.

Congratulations on the new (to you) rig! Looks new from the pi

I'm with Ray on the TV, which is not a big deal. It's unbelievable how cheap they are today, and the pictures are incredible. The headlight might just need a bulb, which is easy to replace for about $20.

Interesting comments going from a pull behind to a motorhome. There is a YouTube RV video couple, "Wild RV Life" that make their living traveling the U.S. with a great-looking Brinkley 5'er. They bought a 1991 Class C on FB Marketplace for $5500 as a re-do project, including putting on a new rubber roof themselves, solar and lithium, gutted and replaced interior, and more. They are now on a months-long trip in their remodeled C, and they keep remarking how convenient traveling in it is compared to pick-up and 5'er. Potty breaks and food, and snacks are available on demand on the road are a couple of things they love. Check them out.
