Heads up cargo trailer buyers. I bought a new Road Force 10' cargo trailer.
Reality: the quality of the trailer wiring was terrible. After much troubleshooting I found wires cut tooo short then stripped too long and held together (sort of) with undersized wire nuts and taping that did little or nothing to re
Eive the stress on the harness. The result was an endless intermittant on the running lights, hours of troubleshooting after disassembling much of the interior walls of the trailer. This might be a one time incident, but after seeing two splices done in equally bad fashion in two seperate locations I question a quality control issue. Mechanically the trailer is great, but the wiring was a nightmare.
The selling dealer could not find the problem and said it was in my rig. I left soon after buying on a 16000 mile trip. Dealer was not a lot of help and never tried to help secure warranty repair from builder.
After several discussions with the builder (Wells Cargo) they finaly suggested I take it to another one of their dealers only after I had already fixed it.
Not a well supported product. Buyers beware.
