A member found a wet spot on the bedroom floor near the kitchen sink backsplash and sliding bedroom door after camping in dry, windy weather while the main rooftop A/C was running. Members suggested the moisture could be from A/C condensate, either from a plugged drip tray or drain path overflowing into the interior, or from condensate leaking past the rooftop A/C gasket and traveling through the ceiling or wall.

Members also recommended checking for other nearby plumbing sources, verifying...

I went out camping over the Easter holiday. The weather was great, windy and no rain. I have 2 ac units on the top of my Twilight Signature tws2580 camper. The main ac unit ran on and off. The bedroom was not cut on. Between the kitchen sink back splash wall and the sliding bedroom door, I noticed a wet spot on the bedroom floor. I did not spill anything, the refrig. was not leaking nor the sink. Is it possible that with the main ac running, the drain on the unit was leaking through to this wall?

Water follows the path of least resistant.

If your rooftop A/C has a condensate pump you should find where it discharges and verify it's final "duckbill" is damp/drips as designed. If there is no pump and no discharge line, the condensate is probably supposed to drain off the roof and you should see the drip line/dirty tracks as evidence.

Otherwise, what other plumbing is around that area? Shower head/valve, fridge water/icemaker line?

Was the RV properly stored for winter with blown out lines or antifreeze?

If you turn off and drain your water for a few days does the water spot dry up? Or, if you ONLY use the bedroom A/C for a few days does the spot dry up and then return when you turn on the front A/C again? In other words, troubleshoot by elimination.

While I am not sure, I believe that you are saying that the spot was outside of the bedroom. Might the water have dripped from the air conditioner's discharge vent? The roof air has a drip tray under the condenser to catch condensation from the cooling coils and it should have a drain tube that empties to the RV roof, via a tube and possible a drain channel inside of the roof unit. If that drain should be plugged up with dirt, mold, and anything it will cause the drip tray to overflow and water will drip from the opening where the cool air is discharged into the RV. That would be the first place that I would check. You will need to run the a/c for a while to get the condensation buildup to the place that it drips. If there has been no water from the roof, that is quite likely the source of the water.

Duh - I didn't think of simply looking up when I replied!

It would also be a good time to check the torque of the 4 hold down bolts for the AC. Maybe water from condensate is leaking by the roof gasket then following the ceiling then down inside the wall. We just had a member go through this and the manufacturer said the torque on those four bolts/nuts should be 40 INCH lbs NOT foot lbs.
