I only buy grassfed organic meat. Eliminating chemicals from my food is more important than price..
Would you like to regenerate the title as well as the summary?
If they are good I would be stocking up on those. My local Grocery Outlet had vacuum packed 10 oz NY strip steaks for $4.99. Perfect size for a single serving. I got two, if they're any good I'll get more.
I don't care for them fried. I usually just saute them with garlic and butter. As for the taste, it has its own flavor. If I were blindfolded and you gave me a piece I could probably tell you what is was.Frog legs in the USA are usually large and deep fried and have little taste. Much like fried chicken.
Frog served in Hong Kong are fresh small frogs...and taste exactly like one would expect a frog to taste like. Much like the frog smell. A bit on the fishy side. Nothing like chicken.

Hmmm. Ok. So what do they taste like?? Chicken?????![]()
Cattle herds are at their lowest in 75 years today.Chef Duane, and that’s the cheap stuff!
Big processors control almost all the beef sold in the US. Ranchers are getting shafted. It is true that herds were downsized a few years back, and it takes a long time to increase the herd size at just one calf per year! That’s the reason pork is so much less. It is easy to make lots of little piggies.
Yep. Beef is not a necessity. If one likes meat, chicken is cheaper and better for our health. But it is not necessary to eat meat at all.The DW does the grocery shopping so I have no idea what beef costs. That said, we eat so little it really doesn't matter. My wife grew up in a family that was vegetarian and over the years I have eaten less and less beef. In addition, I prefer salads to steak, most of the time.
Do you ever have big dinners for family? A pot roast is one of the easiest ways to cook for a group of 12-15, our normal dinner size. I season the roast with savory or with rosemary and thyme, brown it, then cook in a nice beef broth for hours. Ad roasted carrots and potatoes, and it is easy and tasty. Chicken in quantity isn’t nearly as easy. Also, when we have a celebration, the person being celebrated gets to choose the main dish. Two men in my family prefer sirloin roasts to chicken.IMAO, there is no legit reason to be overly concerned with the price of beef.
