I am a newbie looking at fifth wheelers.  Many manufacturers offer all aluminum construction in some of their lines.  I assume this offers lighter weights but are there other benefits to all aluminum construction?  Is all aluminum better?

No termites?  ;D

Actually, not much difference that I can see.  Supposedly wood frames are a bit more repairable, but then trailer structural repairs are iffy anyway.  Weight is not all that much different.  Resistant to rot is obviously better in aluminum, but then water damage is a issue in any type of trailer.  Push come to shove, I suspect it is all involved in fabrication costs.
