Thanks Gary, that makes sense. I just had a mental block when trying to remember the reason it didn't do what you needed.

At the time it was a matter of expediency. We were in Maine sans printer and Gary pointed out a $30 one at WalMart. IIRC I was trying to figure out how many 6' printer cables I needed to hook together to run from the front of the coach to the bedroom and how I could do that without Chris getting on my case. Gary saw my predicament, felt sorry for me and offered to part with his new adapter that wouldn't do what he wanted.

BTW that little printer has been a workhorse, as has the adapter. If it's not broke, don't fix it.

Howdy, RV Forum Framily.

A big THANK YOU to all who replied to my question. I have my new printer, the HP Deskjet 68**. I took the easy way out and am currently using the USB between the printer and notebook.  I have promised myself that this weekend I would learn and  understand how to set the printer up using a wireless connection between printer and 'puter. I am stumbling over the warning about "configuring the printer for a software firewall". I'll let you know how it goes.  ;D  ;D
