What do you want for supper?

Roast opossum with gizzard gravy, and a heapin' helpin' of crawdad pie.
Do they even have possum in Alaska? There weren’t any at King Salmon when I was there.
You know how many Texans it takes to eat an armadillo? 3. Two to flag traffic while the third chows down. 😎

Or you can get it at the store:

The Virginia Opossum (Didelphis virginiana) aka common opussum aka possum occur statewide In Texas except for the arid Trans-Pecos and Llano Estacado of the Panhandle. It is also North America's only native marsupial (pouched mammal). Apparently they are edible but I never et one and don't think I would.

PS: Pogo, from the cartoonist Walt Kelly, was an opossum.

When I was a kid, we moved to Florida in the late 50s. I made friends with a couple of Swamper kids. One time they invited me to come to dinner, and their Ma cooked up a 'Possum.
It didn't taste like Chicken.

I've had it. It's not bad, kind of has the texture of corned beef. Similar to dog.

Never et dog either. But that's only because there are other options available. If it ever actually came down to starvation or my little Huckleberry... on the spit he goes!!

When my kids were little we had a pop-up camper. We stopped at a little country shop somewhere in the Tennessee mountains. It spoke "hillbilly" all over the place.

We went into the little shop to look around. We picked up some candy and were standing at the cash register when my 6 year old daughter blurted out, "Do you have any possum flavored chewin' tobacco?" Everyone stood there in utter silence and just staired at her.

@DonTom,

I grow my own tomatoes and onions and garlic and peppers and herbs. So that's my start off point. Meatballs or sausage or both. We eat meat here.

Most important requirement is the noodle.

It must be vermicelli, or I can't eat it.

If it is vermicelli, salt and butter is fine I don't even need a sauce if we are in a crisis situation. hahahha

What do you feel like doing today? is another everyday question, like the above poster asking what do you want to watch?

I would quote stuff, but the pop ups don't let me. They BLOCK my view of that part of posting.

I notice many others are having the same problem.

What do you want to eat today? Or watch? or do?

What other questions do you get ask every dang day?

I was just thinking of you! I want to go on an RV trip in my Class A, but I cannot decide where to go!

Perhaps you can decide for me, as you often do!

I just had my passport renewed; I got both the card and the passport. I am thinking about a trip into Canada, as I have not been up that way since a few days before 9-11-01, when I planned on staying longer, but Tom decided it was time to leave Canada. Lucky he got his way with that one, or we would be stuck in Canada for a while. And that was during the time we were both still working.

For today, I will start by doing a few things around here, such as weed whacking. I also need to add a little gear oil to my Energica Experia electric motorcycle. In fact, I will change it. My Zero electric motorcycles are less maintenance; they have no gears. But the Energicas have a gearbox, but still no gears to shift.

Tomorrow, I have a lunch scheduled with another electric motorcycle nut, David who lives in Stockton, CA. Lunch will be in Placerville, CA, about an hour ride (~45 miles on mainly twisty mountain roads from here) from here. A place to recharge up a block away while we have lunch, but I won't need a charge for that short distance on my Energica Experia. But it is 90 miles for David. David is more of an electric nut than I am. Him and his wife have NO ICE vehicles of any type, everything they own is electric, 3 electric motorcycles and two electric cars between them. Their cars are a Tesla Model 3 and a Tesla Model "Y".

For lunch today, I will have a couple of slices of my Hawaiian pineapple Luau Pizza from Mountain Mike's Pizza.

I just reheat it in the MW, it is even good when reheated that way:

It's my favorite pizza from anywhere, but it cost more than $30.00 for a large one.

Just set me up with a mess of BBQ ribs, or pulled pork, baked potato, salad with blue cheese dressing and a bit of garlic toast, and I'm in hog heaven !!! :hooray:
Almost forgot a bottle or two of ice cold guiness!!

Safe travels and all the best.

Check the wildfire situation if you go to Canada, apparently it's been bad recently.

I forgot all about that, thanks for the reminder. The smoke is getting to be a problem up there. I will save Canada for some other year.

Since you have been everywhere, why don't you pick a place for me to visit?

I no longer have Tommy to make such decisions! Even trying RVs was his idea to begin with. I never even thought about it before then.
