What to choose

Hi,

From my previous post I mentioned we are considering purchasing a 2005 Rockwood Freedom 1910 that has never been used.  We are also considering a 2003 Starcraft 2407 in mint condition. Doe any one have any thoughts or experience with either brand?  We are moving up from tenting so any advice in the world of pop ups would be great.  Our price range is about $5000.00 (probably for used).

Both Rockwood and Starcarft are respected names in pop-up stye campers. Pick the one that suits you best.

Keep an eye out in the paper and go see a few of them. You can find many pop-ups that were well taken care of and within 10 years old that are literally like new. Our first one we purchased in 2004 and it was a 96 model i believe. like new for $2000. The deals are out there. Dealers like to get rid of used models but will always ask top dollar to try and make something on it. The smaller dealer you go to the better deal you'll probably get.
