Yup! we got one of those block date displays because after where are we? it's what day is this? Its tough being retired!

Its tough being retired!

I used to hate to see Monday arrive and loved the Fridays. Once I retired I discovered that it was Monday through Friday that provided the best times to be in the parks and attractions. Shopping was less stressful and far less crowded. The last few years before I retired we had a neighbor who would leave with the RV on late Sunday afternoon or Monday morning, and we would seem him unpacking his RV as we returned from work on Fridays. It turns out that he was setting a good example.

Yep. I used to work very odd hours, and I only saw that as a big advantage for just about everything.

I do the same with my RV trips; however, I have seen a few RV parks where they had even fewer people on weekends, not sure of the reasons.

Reminds me of when I was in the jungles of Vietnam. We knew when it was Monday only by a malaria pill we then all had to take, or else we would never know or care what day it was.

And I wondered who was keeping track of the Mondays.

Monday, Monday, sometimes it just turns out that way. But every other day of the week is fine.

Back in the day when I was in Boy Scouts we had a new guy who decided he needed the luxury of a cot rather than sleep on the floor of the tent like everyone else. As a sound sleeper, it was easy to carry him and his cot about 50 yards away from camp in the middle of the night and have him wake up in the neighboring field. Good times

Nope, never have; I do sometimes forget to ask the desk clerk what county the RV park is in so I know when the weather radio sounds I can listen to what counties are impacted.
