I have a '95 - 2940-FL Designer Series Class C with Ford front end.

My top side and rear running light are out and for the life of me I cannot find the fuse panel for the vehicle. The owners manual says that there is a "lower steering wheel" access panel with quick release fasteners.

I have twisted every muscle in my back and I cannot find any panel or quick release fasteners, on, around, below, above or anywhere near the steering wheel or anywhere else in the ****pit area. I also looked under the hood...nothing.

Please help

no need to post in multiple places we will get to your question. I am not much of a ford person and can not answer directly. however the panel your looking for may simply look like part of the dash. I tried a quick google search and got nothing.

so if you would stand outside the drivers door with the door open. point a camera with flash towards the steering wheel try to include the pedals and gauges on the dash and part of the door if possible. it will be easy to spot once you find it for the first time.

Post the photo here and if I don't get to it first someone else will.

There is nothing we can not help you with..pictures make it easier and faster.

Here are two shots of the drivers side

TY for the reply Molaker.

That kick panel on mine is not a quick release type.

The handle for the hood release runs through the plastic molded panel and would have to be disassembled to remove the panel.

from the owners manual I would have expected to see a easy to remove panel in the red square (on the pic I drew on)
there is only 3 screws holding that on could ford mean that is a "quick access" panel??
might be.

if not see the other note on the pic. in most of the gmc stuff I own they tuck the fuse panel into the dash on the side so it can only be accessed when the door is fully open.

In your second pic the black wire that is attached to the dash frame work is a ground. guessing by the size it may go to the fuse box. can you follow that easily?

TY

There is no panel on the side of the dash between the dash and the door. I looked there.

I tried to remove the whole lower cover and even with the screws (that you outlined) removed the plastic cover remains attached along the top edge to the plastic part above it and there is a metal support structure that runs behind the plastic panel. Certainly not "quick access".

Here are pics peeking behind the panel below the steering wheel with the mounting screws removed, the side dash view and under hood views of each battery.

I didn't mean behind the kick panel.  It is located on the kick panel a little higher than the photo you provided of the area.

Thanks to all...I found them.

They are mounted at about a 45 degree angle up under the dash beside the steering column.

You can't see them unless you lay down with your head all the way against the engine cover and look back towards the back corner of the dash/firewall
