Which area of the Eastern Sierras do you like the best?If we go anywhere this summer it will be in the Eastern Sierras.
Hard to answer since there is so much to like. Haven't done much before Lone Pine but from there to the Nevada border, two of our favorite camp grounds are Crowley Lake BLM and Chris Flats, which I believe is a Forest Service Campground.
I stayed at the French Campground a few miles south of there, next to Tom's Place, CA, but you would have the same problem there as the slots are not that long. I was there in my 24' Y2K RV and that was about all most of the spaces could handle.Haven't camped at Convict Lake but have been there several times. Great location but not sure we'd have much luck finding a spot large enough for our Pace.
I have not yet been to either of those, I will have to check them out one of these days. Not far from here, but I keep my RVs at my Auburn, CA house where I have a lot more room and do not need to winterize, unlike here in Reno.Crowley Lake BLM and Chris Flats,
