Looking for a campground on/near the Texas Coast.  Somewhere between Galveston and South Padre Island.  We are flexible where but really want to be within a short walk to the beach.

Thanks

Hi luv2rv2.
Look up Texas Trader .com and then look at campgrounds.  You might want to try around Port Isabelle
Lots of rv parks down there

There are soooo many places, but one of my favorite places is in  Rockport Tx, nice coastal community north of Corpus Christi.

We are headed for Port Mansfield,Tx  Bay View RV park, they say walk to the waters edge, no other anemities, but the least exspensive we have found at $150.00 per month, lots of things to see and do within 50/80 miles. Saving on parking , will be able to take in more of the sights and then head west  to vistis  friends on the West coast .

This is South of Corpus Cristi on the edge of South Padrae Island.

Port Mansfield is in the absoulute middle of nowhere.  If you are a fisherman you will love it, otherwise look for something in Port Isabel or South Padre Island.

Also, the beach in Port Mansfield is not the beach...its the laguna madre or intercoastal waterway.

If you want quiet and peace though, that is the place for you.
