This morning, and last night, we had rain, Much needed rain, which ran off all by itself into the lake, which seriously needs it.

Tonight that same rain has moved up to Detroit

I 94 east of Telegraph road Traffic Camera This link no longer works use next link.

Back in the old days I had tilt/zoom/pan/focus/exposure and a couple other options I could control on those cameras from the operations center.. But now anyone can look out through the electronic EYE.. I do not know if the photo is "Current" "live" or Historical (Till tomorrow) but when I looked at it the freeway was plowed but there was still a lot of that white stuff in the frame.

Did some checking  appears you get what is current when you click the link.

If you want to view them live try
MDOT camera launch page  Over 200 cameras to choose from between Detroit metro area and other areas.  MOST are visible (Some are blakned cause My former co-workers are using them at the moment).

Thanks, I modified the post to say that the link no longer works.. The next link should work for many years.  In the old days I had full control of those cameras at work, they are rather good.. From time to time you can even see the world's largest flat tire on those cameras.. (It has a bullet hole in it is why it's a "Flat", It is actually a ferris wheel that was once used at a world's fair)  I think it sows up on the I-94/Outer Drive camera but... It might be Oakwood or Telegraph, not sure.  And the camera is not pointed that way at the moment.
