Looking for recommendations for a hotspot. Since I’m a FirstNet user, it has to be compatible with AT&T. Do they make them with external antennae’s? We frequently camp with sketchy data coverage and I’d like something that Catches signal. I was looking at this one.

Our Verizon MiFi 8800L Jetpack has has ports for an external antenna.

The M1 you linked to supports dual external antennas for a MIMO (Multiple In, Multiple Out) configuration. The dark squares at each end lift up to plug in TS9 connectors from each antenna. The MIMO set below is similar to the set I installed on our batwing OTA TV antenna mast for ease of aiming.

I have a MiFi8800L I've been trying to sell. It has a new-ish battery and works perfectly. In the year or so we used it we never found a place where it couldn't get an adequate connection. We used it on Verizon.

There’s a number of similar ones on amazon. Is this a universal connection or would I have to buy one specifically for this router?

We purchased a WeBoost for RV's. Works great, but costs a bunch too. Helps boost the phone signal when it's weak. Been using it for, maybe, almost a year now. I'm still satisfied. Works with any cell phone. We have a ZTE phone with Visible and we have our Samsung phones with AT&T. It works great for both. You can buy it at other locations, prices are pretty much the same everywhere though on this product.

Again, works great, but the initial cost is not cheap. After the purchase, there are no additional fees at all.

TS9 connectors are quite common on hotspots that support external antennas.
