Hello!
New on here. I have a pretty nice 1984 Coachman Class C. I am missing one of the rear side sliding window screens. I cannot seem to find anywhere online to get one replaced. New or used. Im a fabricator. It looks like a guy could buy the aluminum frame extrusion and form a new one, but I done see anywhere online where anyone has attempted it, to see if it would work.:)
BTW... THese have two radiused Corners. ('D' shaped) Not square.

Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Scott

Those screens may have been difficult to get when your unit was new, and now they are probably like hens teeth. Scrap yards and rv dealers may yield some items that were gleaned from retired units but it will take a lot of searching. If it were mine, being that the unit is so old, I would make a screen that attaches with velcro and call it a day. Won't win any glamor awards but will be functional.

We had replacement window screens, with corner radius, made for our motorhome by the same guy who made the screens for our house. Look for someone who makes screens for residential, mobile homes and park models.

You aren't going to find an exact replacement part for 40+ yo RV window. Or probably even a 4 yo one, for that matter. The RV builder bought several hundred window assemblies from a supplier and when the order was filled the supplier stopped making them.

Hard to make suggestions without details on how the screen fits the window frame - is there another similar window screen on the RV that could serve as a model? Then find a source that offers parts or kits for making custom screens.
There are screen frame kits on Amazon that might work, but this company specializes in components common to RVs. Give them a try.

There are companies that make replacement windows for RV. They could certainly make a screen if they had the size. Probably quite expensive. I've made screens for the house and while I didn't make any with radius corners you could make an overside screen that would cover the window. Then it would just be a matter of securing it and filling the gaps to keep the bugs out. I made one for the driver side window on my motorhome. No radius corners but works well and keep the bugs at bay. Also allows some cross ventilation which is a plus.

An RV salvage yard may be able to supply on oversize screen complete with the radiused corners that you could cut down to fit.

Been looking online for salvage yards. Did find a site, Pelland Ent. That carries Hehr screen parts. Very similar in look and function. Only slightly wider frame sections, but would look fine. Looks like I could piece one together close enough. Only challenge would be cutting a groove around the outside of the corner pieces, to match the straight pieces, so they would slide completely closed.
Everything comes in black, so if one went well, and looked good, I would consider replacing all of them!
