We found that for a campground supplied cable box, we used the SAT connection.

The campground said the many splitters in the “cable” connection prevented the cable box from communicating back out to the mothership to request a download.
We determined that the SAT connection went straight to a cabinet above the tv.

Thanks, I guess I will have to see which works the next time I am at a campground that has cable.
BTW, this TV seems difficult to figure out. It took me a while to figure out how to get it off the antenna mode and back to the fire TV. And it's difficult to tell which is which. When I finally got it to work, I had no clue what I even did. This is all very new to me.
