Love the looks and layout of the Tour!

Anyone have an opinion as to which model has the best quick convert to sleeping for 3-4 beds.  Meaning the King and then 2-3 quick convert other beds.  On a 2 week trip making and day timing the bed area adds up on time.

We are probably looking at a 2008 or later but I think 2008 may have been the first year they made them.  They sure bear a close resemblance to the Vectra - Anyone know if Winnie solved the roof sag issue?

Thanks to all the Winnie Family!!

Winnie changes model names with regularity and the Tour is just a replacement for the Vectra in their line-up. I think the name change coincided with a jajor design change, though.

The only floor plan that is easy to beds for extra people are the bunkhouse types and I don't recall there being one in 2008 timeframe.  Otherwise you are making up beds from sofas or dinettes, both a nuisance twice a day.  You can look up what was available in the brochures for each model and year on the Winnie website - see https://winnebagoind.com/product-resources/product-information

The Tour with the tag axle was circa 2009 or so, you would need to study the brochures to be sure. That?s when the Vectra/Horizon was dropped and they went to a rear radiator for several years (also dropped the IFS front suspension.) I don?t recall any bunk bed arrangement in any of those large Class As.

Thanks guys.  Oh the first RV is so exciting you are willing to buy anything.  Then the second you swear you won't make the same mistakes - So you don't, you make brand new mistakes. ;D

I'll let you know what the third RV mistakes are! ;D ;D

Actually the Vectra we had was an awesome coach.  But it did suffer from some neglect from the previous owner.

I should have caught the neglect but dang I was so excited to get a Class "A" that I missed some things.  Now I want the right layout and a person who knows a fuel filter from a coffee filter!

The Tour 42QD has the L shaped sofa like ours, and we sleep 4 quite a bit.  It extends out to be a queen size bed electrically in the front room.  With the King in the back and the 2 baths (bath and a half), it works out great for guests.

Never heard of the roof sag.  was that the liner?

PS - the 42QD is our absolute favorite floor plan, but we saved a bit going to the Journey/Meridian 42E which is similar.  The new Horizon 42Q is the new Tour 42QD floor plan.

I'm sure I've mentioned it before, but we've been very happy with our 42QD Tour. The living room L-shaped sofa makes into a queen bed, electro-mechanically, with the push of a button and a slide out foot rest, so it's easy enough to deploy and stow. No one's ever actually used it, so I can't attest to its comfort. When one of our grown daughters is with us, they just sleep on the sofa.

Very few problems with this coach. I'm in the middle of doing the factory "Field Repair" on our electric slide locks, because one of them finally experienced the same jamming problem that most in the fleet already have (Bad design) Other than that, no surprises.

Thanks to all for the responses.  Yes I meant liner sag especially when stored in hot areas.  The liner separated and is a real pain to repair.  Not a knock on Winnie (We loved ours and are looking to get another) but I was just hoping they took note and changed materials.

Ya, I think the liner sag has been corrected years ago.  I have heard of it, but not on the later models.
