We recently purchased an Aliner Ranger 12; were told not to store closed or cover with a tarp; makes for difficult storage options; do I believe the advice or do the more reasonable thing of covering it folded?

Not exactly sure what you mean by “wintered collapsed”. Do you mean all the slides retracted and if so most definitely . You don’t want all the weight of snow in you slide out roofs. I just reread your post. Is it possible you have some type of RV similar to a hard sided pop up?

Update: I just googled it now I know what you mean. I would collapse it and just leave it I uncovered. You’ll be able to easily remove snow.

The Aligner folds flat; it is recommended to not store that way because it's hard on the roof liter springs; just wondering what other owners are doing
