Youtube videos are not posting correctly and showing up as video not available after a reload of the page.

See this link www.youtube.com/watch?v=XGLSiG88S5c

and this same video posted with the https in first part of the link where it shows up as video unavailable. Going back in and viewing the edit, the link is truncated to read MEDIA=youtube then the video file name

I expect you've noticed that while the full URL doesn't seem to work:
youtube.com/embed/XGLSiG88S5c?wmode=opaque&start=0&list=

But if you delete the parameter after "?" it does:
youtube.com/embed/XGLSiG88S5c

If you use the full URL (https://...) that's when the forum software doesn't seem to convert it correctly and apply the correct parameter(s).

The links work fine for me as posted.

For me the second link I posted comes up with a black box reading "! This video is unavailable"

Same here, on WIN10 with Crhome. Funny, I can right click the black box video, copy the video link and open it in a new window.

There is nothing wrong with your browser, or YouTube. At least not exactly. Google Drive (that also owns YouTube) is doing a security update to Drive. It has already been done to YouTube. Basically it requires owners of posted material to make the link discoverable or not. You can read the details here:

My links don't work any more either -- links that worked previously. All my YouTube videos are already public, so I don't see what else I could update...
