To keep up with the rising cost of content and the investments we make in the quality of our service, we’re updating our monthly price from $72.99/month to $82.99/month starting January 13, 2025.

Ah yes, I remember. In fact, back when it was much less $$$ it was a post of yours that made me decide to give it a closer look.It was
$40 a month when I signed up. They quickly started raising prices and I bailed out. It was not worth it a $40 so I sure as heck don't need YTTV.
You are right but you still see signs they arent fully integrated. You still see the freevee branding and there are still fewer comercials in prime video shows vs freevee. That is very quickly changing though.Prime Video which owned Freevee, formerly IMbD, shut it down and rolled their ad tv into Prime. Their latest trick is charging for add ons like Acorn and Britbox, showing 2 or 3 episodes of a limited series then putting up another paywall requiring the subscriber to pay more if they want to continue watching the series.
Among the reasons we went with YTTV instead of Dish this trip, other than there not being much difference in price as I mentioned previously is that often a program we might want to record on Dish aired when we were traveling and not set up. With YT, no problem as anything you set to record will be there the next time you're able to connect. We do like YTTV, and it put the new $83 price in perspective for us when I logged into MyDish to check on something today. I was informed the price to reactivate my currently suspended Outdoor account was $153.70. We'll stick with YTTV for now...
When we were still active on Dish, we had an H2 in our motorhome as well as an H2 in our upstate NY base. Using Dish Anywhere, we could easily set up the base H2 to record programs while we were in transit for later viewing. That also worked well when bad weather was forecast and we would watch the H2 that was out of the storm's bath. Of course now that we have YTTV and other streaming services that's no longer an issue.Among the reasons we went with YTTV instead of Dish this trip, other than there not being much difference in price as I mentioned previously is that often a program we might want to record on Dish aired when we were traveling and not set up. Our Dish Pathway X2 was also limited to recording one channel at a time and often were might be things we wanted to record that overlapped. Again, no problem with YTTV.
Why don't you go over to the thread about the drones and take a look then, Lou? It was reported 24 hrs. ago and you know it's there.OK guys. Let's keep politics off the board.
