Anyone planning on being at Q prior to the 17th?
HueyPilotVN said:Two questions. Is anyone already at the forum site in Quartzsite and if not when is the earliest person planning on being there.
I was way too early last year and spent two days waiting for anyone to get there early. I eventually moved closer to civilization.
If I am going to set up the Circus Big Top and the cages for the Elephants, Lions, and Tigers, then I want to be in the right spot and not move twice.

If my internal navigation system is even close to being correct, I think the "road" through our parking area runs east-west. The fire ring remains will most likely be on the north side of that east-west road. I think.

I scheduled vacation time to attend the Blythe Bluegrass Festival followed by the QZ rally, but we had a major transmitter meltdown at our recently purchased Santa Barbara station just before the holidays and it's limping along on a low powered standby unit. The replacement transmitter will arrive right around rally time so I may be tied up installing the new equipment instead of going to QZ that week.

We sold our fifth wheel this past year and are off to Ecuador and Costa Rica this winter. But I don't think we are done RVing just yet so maybe next year.
