Trip cost to yellowstone and suggestions

Went there a few years back on an planned trip without reservations......we were on motorcycles and just tenting.....cheap motel room was 4 times what we had paid anywhere else and a plot of grass to put up a tent was 40 dollars.....we got the last spot.  Couple other cyclists came in with a...

Snow on roof of 5th wheel

I agree that the rigs on the lot do not get cleared off and I considered that when I considered clearing snow off ours. The difference is the rigs in the lot are not heated.  We have enough heat that it melts the snow, however forms ice along the edge of the roof and gets between and on top of...

    Quality, quality, quality

I knew there would be quality issues and I am still amazed to this day at how bad the craftsmanship is.  The guys/gals that put mine together should be ashamed.

    Toppers or not

Pro topper here as well.  I do however place cheap pool air mattresses under the topper to fill the gap between the topper and the slide.  The small slide is not a concern, but the big slide the topper bows in the middle and holds water.  We are wintering this year and it keeps the snow from...

Air Conditioners, cover or no cover

We will be in ours all winter, SW Michigan.  I would think covers to keep the snow and ice off them, but on those days where temps are not too low and the sun is shining may cause stuff to thaw and result in moisture which in turn will freeze.  Just thought I would seek out wisdom

    30 amp question

Thank you for the input.  I was running two heaters for the same reason, save on propane.  The site is either 30 or 50, plug ins are beside each other.  I will just pay a little extra for the 50 amp and call it good...?.thanks again.

    30 amp question

We were work camping at a Methodist Camp and hooked up to a 30 am connection.  I had our Refrigerator on electric, water heater on electric and running two 15 amp electric heaters when it got cold without any issues.  Also used the Microwave from time to time and the Keurig Coffee maker without...

Thank you for the enlightenment.  We will have our Wind Chime with us, but will only use it when we are boondocking, have the campground to ourselves or it we notice all around us have Wind Chimes as well...?.for the record I would enjoy the bagpipes if played well, hate when people don't...
