does it hurt batteries to be charged from shore power all winter ?

I installed a solar battery minder on my house batteries and an Amp l start for the chassis batteries a few years ago and haven't had to add  water or start the generator to maintain the batteries during storage,  They are now always topped off, seems like it really doesn't take much to keep...

does it hurt batteries to be charged from shore power all winter ?

BLUF: No/Yes/ it depends Modern multistage converter/charger will not overcharge your batteries.  So leaving your coach on shore power for the winter will not hurt your batteries if you have a converter like progress dynamics or others that  wont overcharge your batteries.  However, some older...

    Heat?

+1  never had trouble using the propane heater while on the road.  Dash heat doesn't always cut it and if its below freezing dash heat doesn't keep the basement warm.  Using the installed house systems while out on the road is no big deal that's why they were installed.

    Flat tire questions

A  spare 22.5 tire and rim has been under our 1997 Allegro Bus M35 DP since new.  When its time for new tires the inside drivers side rear tire/rim goes under the coach to replace the spare and the old spare and remaining 5 rims get new rubber.  (so there's never been a 20 year old spare)...

    Electric Steps are Silly

I just replaced my 20 year old electric steps, over the last couple of years, they wouldn't always completely deploy or stow on their own. The issue was mechanical not the electronics(Steps were binding causing the intermittant partial operation ) .  So I removed the old controller and...

    210K miles on a 275/300 ISB Diesel?

I wouldn't be worried about 210K miles on the ISB or an allison transmission.  What's the condition of the rest of the coach?

Allison trany leak on HR 37' diesel 8.3L 1995 Imperial

You won't even lose all of the fluid in the pan.  As I recall the filter kit comes with the gasket and if you change the filter without draining the pan you will lose a quart or so of transmission fluid

onan 7.5 Kw generator won't stay running.

About 4 years ago shortly after changing the oil and coolant my generator cut off and would start run for a very short while and then abruptly stop.  Long story short the converter failed and was shorted.  (progressive industries converter)  Took me a little while to figure out it was an issue...

I don't know about your 92 gulfstream, however, EVERYTHING works on my 1997 Allegro Bus; so I don't doubt that everything on the gulfstream is in working order.    I know the history of my bus since new so its been easy to maintain repair replace as things aged out. That being said, in my...
