I just tested the batteries as you suggested and you are right. With a digital multi meter it reads 12.42 v. I guess the next thing i will do is figure how to get at the solenoid. I can see and hear it click but it is not going to be easy to get at it. that will be tomorrows project.

check the solenoid on the pump. If you jump it and it works you know it is bad. Also check all electrical connections they have a tendency to get loose.

thanks to all, I actually got real lucky. I found an outfit called "Dave's Fleet Service" out of Fort Lauderdale. They came to me in a beautiful truck all set up. Did all the inspection work and all the service right there. Dave was very knowledgeable and helpful . Prices very fair.
