Wonderful find! Thank you for sharing - I especially like these sort of blogs. If you know of more, please let me know as I follow a bunch in my RSS reader. Ray P.S. And thank you to the management for allowing these sort of links. Much appreciated.

    RV Cruising Speed

I haul a 13' Scamp and average around 60mph. 65 is my max. I used to go 70-75mph with tires rated for 85mph but after having a blowout which tore part of the fiberglass around the tire well I learned my lesson. I much prefer going at a leisurely pace on the backroads. It's less stressful, far...

    Exodus and influx

I try to resist as much as I can but unfortunately it can be terribly useful when it comes to mapping and finding campsites as well as local grocery stores, etc. etc. Every now and then I get the itch to switch to paper maps like Benchmark and let the sense of adventure reign supreme... Ray

    Exodus and influx

I can't say for sure but I think some of the attrition started when Facebook introduced Facebook Groups several years later. Then there's Reddit which came a few years after FB Groups. The other big change is smartphones -- FB, Reddit, etc. all have had very good mobile apps while many forums...

    Bentsen-Rio Grande Valley State Park

I've found that AllTrails and OnX Backcountry are pretty good at reliably showing trails that are hike-able. OnX is really good for making sure I'm not trespassing on private property. I also use it to find Arizona Trust land to camp on since I have a permit for for it. Way less people that way...

Ahhh, that makes sense. Still, the La Parida Banco river looks very nice too -- quite tempting for me to pluck my kayak in for a swim... Ray

Interesting and different view of the Rio Grande river, I'm not used to seeing it like in your photo. Where are you camped? Thanks for sharing, Ray

How has your experience been with T-Mobile's coverage network? Ray

    Verizon 100GB Hotspot for $10/month

I have one of those grandfathered unlimited plans too. It’s like a treasure now ; ) ATT is technically my business backup plan but I’ve found lately it has better coverage than Verizon. Strange. Ray

Questions about propane refill at a truck stop

In my case the vast majority of places were able to fill my tank without needing to remove it from the trailer. All would top the tanks off. BTW, I ended up buying a smaller 5lb propane tank as my backup tank for whenever my regular 20lb one ran out. At 5lbs it's easy to store and hook up in a...
