    New basement a/c problem

I had to replace the start run capacitors and a wire that was fried on the control board. Get acces to the control board and look for any obvious signs of burnt caps, wires etc before applying power to the A/C system.

How much does it cost to Fulltime? 2 great articles.

Save up, squirrel away somewhere between 3-5k$ and don't tap into it but for big ticket expenses only. If you can, keep building it up even if it's only 50$ here and there. You will appreciate it. Then live within your means. You can control campground fees; going monthly or seasonal can save...

Range of costs associated with Full-timing

FWIW: Better put away a couple of months worth of retired pay in an account for emergencies. Especially if you decide to get a diesel pusher motorhome. Repairs are not cheap and neither are maintenance costs. Be prepared to be displaced during repairs and no, the estimated repair times are never...

Ready to replace basement ac/heat pump

Haha! Funny, that's how mine was too, burned up jumper and capacitor and starter motor were both fried. The PO didn't bother to repair it and they did something to the water heater circuit somewhere as well. Never did find they did 'cause ended up putting in my own aftermarket heating element...

Thanks Chaps! I removed the panel and could see behind the water compartment and this helped in removing the water compartment panels thus last night I was able to access the valve and pull the plunger with of all things my 25 year old drum brake spring remove/install tool 'cause my arms were...

Need assistance: ultimate freedom gray water valve

Thanks Rene! Didn't have to cut anything. Thanks to Chris for the link to the plumbing diagrams, they gave me an idea where the valves are. Ended up pulling the water bay panels out to access the valve. Of course the inboard one is the culprit and requires 4 ft arms which i don't have. Used my...

    Another Basement Air Problem.

Given that you suspect the 2nd compressor is kicking in, I'd make sure that the blower is switch to high and check the ducting for leaks. If you can see/feel the leakage, then you'd be removing the rear cap (link here) If there are no leaks and the blower is still on low, then the blower assy...

    European style 4-way mirror actuator

John, Sorry no pictures but here's a rundown: 1. The mounting for the Hadley is with 4 screws to the mirror vice the snap-ring used by Winnebago. Since the motor was exactly the same size and fit the mirror housing, I utilized the screw brackets in the new one to tie wrap it in place using the...

Keyless entry - replacement of old system or retrofitting to one without

Wow this thread has been going a while. I too had an inoperative keyless entry. I could hear the relays but the actuator was silent. Cleaned the contacts on the door/frame, replaced the actuator and worked the same magic on the FOBs as Phil and she's back in business. This was a good week as i...

    European style 4-way mirror actuator

FWIW: I was lucky to find a Hadley actuator that required some minor modifications to go in place of the inoperative motor. What a PIA to Remove and Replace.

    European style 4-way mirror actuator

It seems the darn actuator motor is inoperative. :( Has anyone here had success in finding replacement for the actuator? Can I substitute a tractor trailer type actuator? Any assistance is appreciated.
