    Motoraid hoses

Replaced all heater hoses a couple of years ago when I had to replace a resistor in the underfloor heater. It took a couple of days to complete, a couple of the hoses where molded but I managed to purchase some hoses bending springs from a jobber (keeps the hoses from kinking). I used the best...

    British Columbia Towing Regulations

I believe that only applies to licensing, vehicle weights and braking requirements must still satify the juridiction.  A number of years ago BC authorities where targetting out of province vehicle on weight requirements, and turning some back and forcing some to lighten there loads.

    Canadian Auxiliary Brake Regulations

I wouldn't tow the mountains in BC without brakes on the Toad. You may be within the law but if you get in an accident there could be law suits and due diligence will come into question, and you better be well under the weight requirements and don't put your golf clubs or anything in the toad...

Has anyone wired a GMC Canyon as a toad using bulb and socket, is there enough room to fit them in, or did you use a diode wiring kit. Feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Art

What is the best base plate?

Thanks for the feed back. The Blue Ox for the Canyon doesn't have removable tabs, same as the Demco. In further review of both the install instructions, I discovered that the Blue Ox has a plate that goes under the frame as well on each side with an additional bolt, that 33 1/3% more attachment...

What is the best base plate?

I'm preparing my 2007 Canyon for dinghy towing. Have a Blue Ox Aventa LX tow bar and on my last dinghy had the blue ox base plate. Demco also make a base plate that is apparently compatible with this tow bar.  Is there any preference or ease of installation or price. Appreciate any feed back...

Survey of CRT TV to LCD replacements

Promised Pics of my TV replacement re thread 144 and 145. Here they are, tried to post them before but they wouldn't go, then spent 3 months in Arizona enjoying my new TV. I removed the overhead TV, manufactured a lift, and bulit a cabinet around it on the side where an easy chair would sit...

Survey of CRT TV to LCD replacements

I have a Sunrise 32V. We do not like looking up at an angle to watch TV.  The easy chair that normally sits behind the passenger seat was not there when we purchased the unit so Cleo the dog sleeps there. I'm taking about 8 inches of the floor space and installing a flat screen with a lift...

    RV plumbing

What a great idea! Would work the same on my Itasca Sunrise 32V, but would be hard to get the water line back to the water tank, but definately worth the look.

Using 18" Winegard crank up satellite dish with Shaw Direct

Are there any Canadian Snow birds that have successfully used the 18" Winegard RM-46 Satellite dish with Shaw Direct when going south for the winter.  A satellite service company here in Edmonton told me I only need to change the LNB receiver portion, is he correct. I don't want to get to...

Good Year or Michelin Motorhome tires

Thanks for all the feedback.  When I contacted my Good Year dealer he indicated that their no longer making the G670 and there are only 4 available locally so I may have to stick with the Michelin XRV. Have had no problem with them, just wanted to get the best. My Workhorse W22 actually has...

    Tires from hell

My 2004 Itasca 32V (purchased 2 years ago) has the original XRV Michelins with 45 k miles (72k kilometers) and have never given a stitch of trouble for me or the original owner. They don't leak nor run hot.  My biggest concern now is the age and the tread wear remaining.  50% tread left on the...
