    Lithium and cold weather

I haven't monitored the battery draw closely but I think the Furrion 12 volt refrigerator draws more than the dealer led me to believe, lol!

    Lithium and cold weather

I was quoted $925/ heated Battle Born battery plus $140 for the monitor and approximately $140 for monitor installation. I am questioning whether the $2,100 investment is worthwhile when I only boondock a few weeks a year. It seems the furnace fan draws my battery down during the night...

    Lithium and cold weather

Thanks for all the great information! I spoke with a Battle Born dealer and she indicated I would need a new battery monitor. My current system is compatible with lithium but she indicated the biggest issue was an incorrect battery level using the lead acid shunt/monitor. Does this sound accurate?

    Lithium and cold weather

I had hoped that with power the batteries being charged would be warmer than the ambient air temperature. Would the heated batteries work in this situation?

    Lithium and cold weather

I have 2 solar panels on my fifth wheel. It came with lead acid batteries. I am considering replacing them with lithium. I store the RV in a shed with no heat or electricity. I can easily remove the batteries in the fall and store them in our heated basement. We usually go south in February...

    Box Depth Chevy 3500

Thanks, all good information. I think it will be fine after your comments and measuring both hitches. (Andersen and standard fifth wheel)

    Box Depth Chevy 3500

Thanks for the response.I just measured the height of the Andersen versus my standard 5th wheel plate. It appears I have approximately 3 more height with the Andersen. I think it will be fine given the measurement and your experience. Speaking of fuel economy I guess it's too early to ask about...

    Box Depth Chevy 3500

I just dealt for a 2107 Chevrolet 3500 DRW 4x4 today. Now I am having second thoughts about the depth of the box. I plan to use an Andersen hitch that I used in my 2004 Ford F-250 4x4. I am pulling a 2015 Grand Design 29 RS. The height of the bed was never an issue but now I am concerned about...

    Grand Design Reflection

I should have plenty of power, I am not sure need the air bags but I bought them before we decided to replace the TC with a new fiver. I have a bumper hitch car trailer that I haul a skid steer on. The air bags should help eliminate the squat while pulling either trailer. We won't have the new...

    Grand Design Reflection

I just ordered a Grand Design Reflection 29 RS. It is a little longer than my self-imposed limit of 30' but we like the floor plan and it looks to be decent quality. I have a 2004 F-250 with the 6.0 diesel. I plan to install an Anderson Hitch as I sold my B & W companion hitch a few years ago. I...

    1998 Minnie Winnie

Thanks guys, that looks to be good information. I am thinking about a 1998 31' , the older gentleman that owns it is calling it a Minnie Winnie but all the information I can find indicates it is a Minnie. It has a LR slide and I can't  find that in a Minnie Winnie just a Minnie until the model...

    1998 Minnie Winnie

I am considering a 1998 Minnie Winnie, I haven't looked at it yet but have a question, do the cab seats swivel to face the living quarters?  I don't think it has any rocker or recliners.

    2014 Keystone Passport 2250

I have located a new 2014 Passport 2250. I have a F-250 and have air bags I plan to install. I doubt I will need them but bought them to install with use of the TC we have. We like the size and floor plan.  The lite designation does concern me, they may be durable and the weight doesn't concern...

    1998 Minnie Winnie

You guys have it pegged correctly. He tried to sell it to me 7-8 years ago. " I can't sell it for less, I'll lose too much money". I think I will back away from it. Thanks

    1998 Minnie Winnie

Thanks Kevin, The unit has been stored inside so I don't think water damage is an issue. Not to say the caulking and or rubber roof didn't develop problems in the decade of non-use.  I was in the coach maybe 8 years ago and it was spotless and it hasn't been used since, driven but not camped in...
