Do you notice a bit of a smell when turning on the hot water? If you haven't flushed out your hot water tank in a while, you'd be surprised how the scale coming out can smell pretty nasty. Was told to flush our tank every 6-8 months if full timing. Might be worth looking into.
So the OP can try and do it himself and save a little money, but I had my 18' awning replaced in the spring of '18 by ShadePro in Yuma, AZ. I paid $825 for acrylic installed. Vinyl would have been $675. While the acrylic looked nice it is water resistant but not water proof. Had it changed out...
If going to Seattle I would definitely take the Hood Canal floating bridge toward Bremerton and then toward Gig Harbor and the Narrows bridge. Traffic from Olympia northbound on the 5 can be a bitch. One other thing I would ask is where exactly in "Seattle" are you heading? If you are actually...
Regardless of the actual condition the trailer is in, the fact you paid $650 for an inspector, whom I assume wasn't an FDA inspector or any other type of irrelevant inspector, would have me looking for the guy in no uncertain terms. At a minimum your fee should be refunded considering the...
Silly me! Since I know rvers are hearty wine consumers, I thought you had joined many of us who think a Blackstone Merlot or Cab is one of the best under $10 bottles of wine! Sort of RV related, don't you think!
Enjoy the journey!
I'd also love to figure out how to eliminate the alarm. Hate to hear it going full blast when jacks are being deployed. I used to race sports cars and am very aware of big red warning lights. I'd definitely see a red light if it came on while driving. But hate the blasted alarm and want to...
We just spent two weeks at Araby as well as a week at Westwind. While Westwind is a phenomenal park, we really enjoyed Araby as well. It just has a very nice feel especially if you can get a side back behind the main building. We stayed in site 150 which had previously been a park model site...
After spending over $800 for new acrylic fabric and $625 for a new motor, my Dometic A&E Awning control brain appears to be out and in need of replacement. I can probably find a new control box for $400 or so and install it my self OR for $700 replace the existing 8 year old AE with a new...
So, yes the water heater (a 10 gal) was flushed with the new electric element install. The sound is hard to describe...not low nor high pitched. Maybe a mid level metallic growling sound and ONLY when demand is placed to provide hot water. No sound at all with cold. Can not hear it when inside...
Just a quick post this Christmas day. Have noticed the past few weeks that there is a strange "sound" coming from the water heater when hot water is being used. Just had the electric element replaced 8 weeks ago. Totally quiet until hot waters turned on inside the coach. Any ideas?
We lived in Californa (Bay area then Sacramento) until 1991 when we relocated to WA state. Now retired and full time RV travelers we spend a lot of time on the West Coast and probably six months or so a year from Pismo Beach to Palm Springs.
Yes there are many problems with the state and I...
Don't forget that Verizon currently offers a 15% discount on their cell service. Been receiving this discount for almost 7 years now. DD214 required when I obtained mine.
Would be interested in fly rod wt and line. Floating? Intermediate sink? Thinking maybe an 8 wt along with a floating line and sinking leader with baitfish imitation fly. Sure sounded like fun
