How do you clean your windshield??

I carried an extendable pole squeegee with a nylon mesh covered sponge on one side and the squeegee on the other and used that as needed when we stopped for the night. I mixed a little Dawn in water to wash the bugs off.

    Considering long-term RV-ing

Like many/most  we started with a smaller motor home (30 foot) and soon graduated to a 35 1/2 foot. We pulled a car (Honda Accord) and would not consider not doing so. At first we also moved every week or so and in a few months that changed to staying a month or more. At first we were in...

    Sanitizing your CPAP device

I looked into the SoClean system and found that it uses ozone to kill germs and mold but does not clean the surfaces, You still need to clean them in some way and if done properly that will kill the germs and mold also. After 14 years of CPAP use I am much more lackadaisical about cleaning than...

RV owners who use supplemental oxygen - can we talk?

A guy that stayed in the same RV park we did in the winters used a very portable concentrator for both night and while walking around which eliminated the need for tanks. This HERE is the web site. We would have bought one but my wife uses oxygen in conjunction with a cpap machine which...

    Selling a Motorhome

For what it's worth I spent about three months trying to sell mine - Craig's List, ads in the local paper, listings in all the forums I know of that allow it - and had no luck. I talked to the largest local dealer. He didn't do much consignment selling but did accept mine. He checked it and did...

Low temperature impact on propane flow

Propane can have problems with temps that are above it's boiling point because the vaporization rate can be too low to supply the propane needed. LPG with butane is worse. See : http://www.nbmc.com/heaters/lpchart.html http://www.propane101.com/propanevaporization.htm When the amount of propane...

    Fire stick

You are supposed to pay for access but there appears to be a lot of folks that aren't. I was trying to help a friend get set up to view Amazon Videos that come with his Amazon Prime membership. Looked on Ebay for a Fire Stick and almost all the ones advertised were modified (or claimed to be) so...

Which is the best tow bar system

Receiver hitch with two bars in my opinion. Blue Ox and Roadmaster are the two brands I saw the most by far. I had the Blue Ox for 11 years and 80,000 miles and was happy with it. Many friends have the Roadmaster and are happy with it.

Need a leather foot stool for 2006 tuscany

We covered a plastic file box with UltraLeather and with foam and UltraLeather on the top. That way we had had a place for our paper work and a foot rest as well. It was my wife's idea and it worked great.

    Snowbirding questions

The company that maintains our furnace, water heater, plumbing and etc told me that because we have hot water heat that may require make up water, that I should leave the water turned on. We did turn the ice maker water and water to the toilets off and set the water heater to vacation mode. We...
