Winterizing in Seasonal Park - Disconnect Rigid Sewer Pipe??

Hi all. This is a question for all you seasonal RVers in parks subject to freezing temps in the winter. We've just come through our first season at a local park and I've winterized the TT as I always do, blowing out the water in the lines and pumping in antifreeze (I'm in Ontario, Canada, so...

Has anyone camped at Prince Edward Island?

If you're looking for a central location to use as a base camp to explore the Island, we enjoyed our stay at the Cornwall KOA. Cornwall is more or less a suburb of Charlottetown. The CG fronts on the south shore and has a great pool. Book early, as the waterfront sites go fast.

Using RV Range for Outdoor Kitchen Project

Thanks. This one will be stationary at the seasonal site, so the rally will have to come to me. ;-)  The pot rack is a great idea -  a bit of galvanized pipe and assorted fitting would do the trick nicely! The wire mesh "pot holder" is another easy mod -  especially if using a plastic table ...

Using RV Range for Outdoor Kitchen Project

Hi all, Thought I'd share my Spring project with you. We're parking our TT at a local seasonal campground this year (May 1 - Oct 15) for the first time, so we thought we'd expand our cooking options a bit. The TT has only a 2-burner cooktop in the galley but we wanted to be able to cook for...

    Range Cabinet Venting Requirements??

Hi folks, As indicated in a previous post, I'm building an outdoor kitchen at the campsite centered around an RV 4-burner propane range/oven. I've got the cabinet mostly done and am getting ready to install the range.  I've been debating whether to vent the bottom of the range compartment or...

    Towing mirrors

I use the Grand Aero clip-on tow mirrors available at Costco among other places. They attach firmly and stay put, without little to no vibration. They;re also adjustable for extension and mirror orientation, so its possible to play around with them to get the best view.

    RV Stove/Oven Gas Line

Thanks for all the replies, folks! Once installed, the stove will not be moving (built into an outdoor kitchen island). I've had my local rv shop make up a 5-ft length of solid copper tubing to run from the stove manifold, out the back of the unit and down/across the cabinet to a flared...

    RV Stove/Oven Gas Line

I've got my local RV shop making up a copper line for me - 5 feet of copper with flare connections at both ends will cost me a whole $25CAD. That's less than I spent on the bbq line with regulator. The plan is coming together nicely!

    RV Stove/Oven Gas Line

Thanks NickB. I'm debating a quick disconnect. It sure would be simpler to have one LP tank run everything. Not sure at the moment how far from the RV the outdoor kitchen will be, so I'll wait on that decision.

    RV Stove/Oven Gas Line

The heat shield is a smart idea - thanks for that. I think I'll drop by my local RV shop and get them to make up a 5-6ft solid copper line for me. Once the stove is mounted in the cabinet there should be no mechanical stress on it.

    RV Stove/Oven Gas Line

Hi folks, I picked up a used 4-burner + oven RV stove that I plan to incorporate into an outdoor kitchen at our seasonal campsite (the TT's galley only has a 2-burner cooktop, and the outdoor kitchen will encourage the DW to come out for longer periods  ;) ). The plan is to build a cabinet/stand...

Pulled the Trigger on a Seasonal Site for 2016

RJF7G - that's a good looking setup! I can't afford to go buy everything I think I might want to anyway, so I'll be following your word of caution on that ;)  We've got a BBQ all ready and waiting to move to the RV park, and if I'm lucky the shed left by the previous tenant will be good enough...

Pulled the Trigger on a Seasonal Site for 2016

I plan to block up the TT with concrete blocks as soon as I know we're staying on the site. Thanks for the tip to get the lines up off the ground. I would never have thought of that, but it makes perfect sense!
