2000 Fleetwood American Tradition w/Allison MD3060 hard downshifting.

In 2005 I had a 2003 Bounder diesel with a 3000 series and it did that. As I traveled I called the Allison tech support and since it was under warranty they said to bring in in and they would check it out. In the 200 miles to get to their shop the issue went away and never came back. No idea...

    Anybody own this brake controller?

I recently setup a similar unit on a friends trailer. He had two+ tow vehicles and didn't want to add controllers to them. Autowbrake: "THE AUTOWBRAKE IS A SELF-CONTAINED FULLY FUNCTIONAL, ELECTRIC BRAKE CONTROL THAT MOUNTS WHERE IT TRULY BELONGS - ON THE TRAILER." https://getautowbrake.com/...

    DC issues

Assuming that the generator is setup like current ones, it supplys 120 volt power so those cables from the battery would just be for starting the generator. Disconnecting them should not effect the rest of the system. I recommend checking voltage starting at the batterys and working through the...

    Window reflections

Yes I have the same issue. As for backing into my garage I use a flashlight laying on the floor pointing out the door. When the MH was in the final position in the garage I marked a spot on the floor where to put the light. Now when looking in the mirror I line up the light with the side of the...

Specific driving directions from Zion NP to Arches NP!

The I-15 to I-70 to US191 is the route I would recommend. I have taken it many times. The I-70 hills are a maximum of 6% and some of the descents have a 50mph speed limit on trucks. Pay attention to the signs and keep your speed down.

Grand Cherokee as a tow vehicle?

I have had a 2012, 2014, and now a 2019 Grand Cherokee Overland with the Hemi. I tow a 7200 lb boat for short trips. The 2012 with the 6 speed trans was not up to the task as it first gear was too high. The '14 and '19 with the 8 speed work great.

I need 2" baggage door latches that are *thin*?!?!

I went through that latch issue on my last motorhome and got tired of changing the broken plastic parts so I duplicated the plungers out of aluminum and rebuilt all 24 latches. A couple of years later RB MACHINING started making them. Don't waste your money on those plastic plunger latches...

    Motorcycle Lift on Rear Rad

This is what is in my owners manual about motorcycle lifts on my read radiator coach. WARNING: Do not block rear air grille area. Engine cooling will be affected and lead to overheating. What's your manual say?

    More electrical systems questions

On my current coach my Magnum Inverter/Charger has a setting to limit the 120 volt current the charger can pull to charge the batteries. When using a 20 amp plug I adjust this setting so the charger doesn't kick the house breaker. This is only a problem if the batteries are low and the charger...

    Vegas to Reno, Rt 95?

I am curious as to what route to US395 is only 20 miles different that US95 from Vegas to Reno? I have taken both ways and I calculate about 120 miles longer using US395.

    lifting jeep

It depends on what gear ratio your JK has now. Here is a set of charts to help you decide. https://prodigyperformance.com/blog/jeep-wrangler-gear-ratio-calculator/ Even if you start with a Rubicons 4:10 ratio you won't be using 6th gear much.

Help with Fresh water Pump Power issue. HR Endeavor

If you have the normal Intellitec controller it does not supply 12v to the pump, it supplies Ground (the "Load" connection). The 12v supply to the pump comes from the battery fuse to the pressure switch on the pump. So to test you need to check for 12v at the pressure switch and ground from the...

    Fleetwood Discovery Full wall stopped.

What Gary said... I can add that on my Fleetwood there was a fuse on the relay-controller board in addition to the circuit breaker for power. Along with a fuse, bad breaker or relays any of the plugs/connectors/wires could be the problem too. I have had a bad relay on my Bounder once and the...

Air suspension, Air leveling system question

If the terrain is flat (not necessary level) so the suspension doesn't have to articulate then the front could be raised as far as it will go but the rear can only go within the limits of the drive shaft which should be more than the limits of the suspension. With my air leveling system the...
