I thought about doing this, but the TV we want to use in ours is a bit too wide for the space, so I had to come up with a solution that would keep it up out of the way.  I like the foam pads/buckle strap idea, though!

Thanks! The tires are a bit of a mixed bag, with most being 2-3 years old, but the oldest pair (on the passenger side rear) is 5 years old.  We'll probably replace them this summer, even though they don't show signs of dry rot.  I prefer to be proactive when it comes to maintenance. I'm sure...
