    Replacing the Basement A/C Unit

I saw this info on another forum and thought I'd give you folks a heads-up.  He found a brand new unit on Amazon with free shipping for $2569.  When I looked it up I see it's purchased directly from Coleman, that's good for follow on support...

    Winnebago Minnie 300 1995 - Any Help

Also, regarding the generator, make sure your gas tank is 1/3 or more filled with gas.  They design it so that the generator stops getting fuel at about 1/4 of a tank.  That it can't use it all up and you have some left to drive to a gas station.  If the generator hasn't been run for 3-4...

    New basement a/c problem

The run caps for the indoor & outdoor blower motors are mounted inside near the motors.  I'm looking at the RVP 6535 Service Manual sketches and schematics.  It appears that the two blower motors don't have start caps.  Only the two compressor motors haves both start & run caps which are behind...

    New basement a/c problem

Yikes!!!  A messed up back is your worst enemy.  Hope that improves significantly real soon. I'm thinking that if you're not getting the screech & rattle sounds, then it could be just the starting cap circuits.  Those can be accessed without dropping the unit.  Good luck, Bill

    Clattering exhaust fan

Good idea John, but I would want one that latches it open.  I suppose if you leave it latched open a lot, or all the time, the wasps and spiders would find a nice home.  Here in So Cal we have a fraction of all the critters that most of the country has so that would be a big concern.

    Clattering exhaust fan

Yes it happens on my coach too, usually only when the wind is at a certain angle.  Or a semi truck passing.  So it's not constant and  somewhat rare for me.  Your coach air dynamics will be different.  You could try traveling with one of the windows slightly open, on one side or the other, to...

    New basement a/c problem

Hi John, I have written a procedure on how to pull your basement unit out and replace some of the common wear parts.  Below is a link to the library files in this forum that you can download.  Most members find it relatively easy to follow the illustrated photos and I've gotten a lot of positive...

I would cut the ends off the existing cable and wire in the connectors that come with the new equipment.  Should be a shielded wire for video, the shield, + 12 v power, -12 ground and maybe a control wire.

Reset check engine light? 2007 Winnebago Voyage 35L

tjbarry, welcome to thew forum!  I'm guessing that you have a Workhorse chassis.  Is that correct? You might consider buying a Scan Gauge II ($160)which would allow you to read the code that is causing the Check Engine light to come on AND let you reset Check Engine.  Then you can google the...

Is yawing or tail wagging normal for Class A mortorhomes? How much?

Ya, the only disadvantage is that it takes a 1/4 acre to make a u-turn.  But she handles beautifully.

Is yawing or tail wagging normal for Class A mortorhomes? How much?

Gregg, have you had your coach weighed?  Too light on the front end would aggravate your situation.  A full load of water behind the rear axle would lighten the front end. My 1st rv was a big Lance camper on a F250 truck (not a dually).  The semi's would blow me all over the road.....and gusty...

Coleman AC unit will not blow cold

Welcome to the forum!  Some more info would help a lot.  What year is your rig?  What model Coleman?  How long has it worked normally?  Does it heat ok? Here's a link to get the service manual from the company website.  The service manual will give you some troubleshooting procedures to...

Basement central air conditioner - AC started cutting out shortly after being turned on

Also, check your voltage source and make sure you're getting at least 110v to the A/C unit.  Anything lower like 108 or less and it really strains the compressor and blower motors and bad things can start happening. Good luck, Bill
