    Fifth Wheel Suspension

I want to highly recommend Tony's Trailer in Catoosa, Oklahoma. Two times I had problems with my Fifth wheel suspension in Tulsa. Tony came to me and fixed me both times. Is it Fleetwood or Oklahoma ? Either way, It was taken care of.

    Retirement / Cost saving Ideas

We are members of Passport America for 50% campground rates and AAA for road service. We also use a Wal-Mart credit card for Diesel fuel (5 cents a gallon discount). I bought my Golden Age pass at Grand Canyon and you can buy it at any National Park for $10.00.

    Let's talk about tires

I had the same thing happen to a wheel while on the road in Florida. No one I talked to had ever heard of such a thing including me. I was not able to do anything with the wheel and bought a new one I(not chrome). Thanks for the post.

    Buyer Beware

I bought Panasonic Strada in dash GPS and was assured map updates would be available. After repeated calls to Panasonic, upgrades are no longer available. Be prepared to  be transferred numerous times and take at least 30 to 45 minutes to find out they no longer furnish upgrades and be...

    AC Problems!!!Help!!!

Through the years I have found poorly designed electrical systems will have very low voltage when the weather gets hot. The 109 volts is believable and your air conditioner will continue to trip. Start turning things off and you may see voltage go up enough. Turn off electric water heater...

    30 amp ext cord

To maintain a voltage drop of 3% at 100' 120v 30a you will need a minimum of #6. I wouldn't recommend using 100' of extension cords. every time you plug in there are voltage losses as well as weather considerations. Black type SO cord is not listed for outdoor applications and cannot be used. I...

Just got into Vegas, whats a good RV park here?

We usually stay at Sam's Town. Spaces are close and you park front door to front door. Seems like it was about $35.00 per night. I would definitely stay there again.

    Rear Closet

My Wilderness 5er has rear bedroom with closet all the way to rear. Has anyone figured out a hanger that prevents all the clothes from coming off hangers and the hangers themselves coming off rods. Currently wife empties closet hanging clothes to bed prior to our getting underway and re-hangs...

    TireMinder Tire Pressure Monitoring System

Mr. Sundance 3200. What is DW? I also have this unit and have replaced eight sensors so far. I have bought a package of "O" rings and when one goes out I can install a new one. I'm going to call them and inquire about the replaceable batteries. Thanks for the heads up.

Towing fuel mileage with a 2000 Ford F-350 diesel

I get an average of 11.5 mpg in my 2002 F-350 dually crew cab pulling 13000# Wilderness 5er. Mine is not 4-wheel drive and, quite honestly, haven't found this to be a problem. I try not to get myself in places it would be a requirement especially when my RV is connected to it. You can join AAA...

    Rear view cameras

I bought my camera from RV Cams. Inc. in Baton Rouge (877)378-2267. I hard wired it via a plug on my F-350 to the 7" color monitor in the cab. I can report I would recommend this unit to anyone. I am extremely satisfied with the system and have had no problems of any kind since I installed it...

    Problem with refrigerator

We just had ours fixed for the same problem. The 120v system went out and the fridge was running on gas only. I observed this when one of my gas tanks emptied and the fridge light went to check and was not cooling. PPC in Mont Belvieu, Texas replaced the control board and all is well. The fridge...
