2008 Flagstaff River forest Popup camper

I know this is an older question but just in case someone else comes across It; the overhead lights work on battery just like the winch does. Since both we?re experiencing an issue I?d start there. Wire could be off the battery or even on backwards.

Where do you buy your materials?

Home Depot/Lowes and Wal Mart for paint & brushes, etc.

Marsha, I'm right in the middle of doing mine and I'm using Kilz and it seems to be adhering well.

Jumping in with both feet! 1984 Southwind Eagle Makeover

Thanks oodles  Steve & Cheryl.  It's a labor of love I figure.  I built a new "center-console-cupholder", but those pictures are on my laptop at home so I'll have to wait to post them.  I actually build (just for myself) electric guitars so I had some Mahogany laying around and figured "why...

Probably need a little more information, as noted above.  Are you saying there's no wires there now at all?

Jumping in with both feet! 1984 Southwind Eagle Makeover

Thanks a ton, Steve.  There's still lots to do on the list, for example; -Cut out for and install new bathroom sink w/new fixtures -New shower fixtures & head -Replace carpet under toilet with vinyl strips -New toilet -Install 2 small LED TVs -Finish the paint, to include the walls And that's...

Jumping in with both feet! 1984 Southwind Eagle Makeover

Little "Before & After" photo fun.  The project list is still long, but we're chipping away at.  The subject, btw, is a 1984 Southwind Eagle 1. Wish me luck!

A seat cover option from Wal Mart?

Sure will, Yadda.  I think it was on irv2 (dot) com, btw.  The part # from Wal Mart is 5078571-Tan.  Alpine Seat Covers and the box says "Big Truck".  I'd post the pictures I put up over there but they're stored on my laptop at home.  If you need them, let me know and I'll put them up.

A seat cover option from Wal Mart?

Like a lot of "older" coaches, my captain's chairs leave a little to be desired in the looks category.  And, since I'm going to all this effort to spruce up the rest of the girl, they are going to stick out like a sore thumb; Who knew that when mauve faded it turned reddish/orange?  Seats are...

    Replacing recliners and sofa bed

+1 on the shipping consideration.  You may find it online at a discount, but that can quickly get absorbed with freight charges.  If you do go the furniture store route, a lot of newer recliners come in 2 pieces now, with the top separated from the bottom.  Much easier to get through the door...

How do I replace a rotten out basement floor panel?

Any chance that the factory used fiberglass in there originally?  Hard to tell from the pictures.  You've definitely got to consider that's a very harsh environment there as it will take a lot of water, rocks, etc. thrown at it constantly.  In a perfect world, a piece of stainless steel would be...

    Starting a Remodel

You guys did an awesome job!!!  Looks great and I really like your use of curtains.  Oh, and the kitchen backsplash borders on pure genius......since I did the same thing in my current remodel, lol. Any plans for doing anything outside?  Good luck and happy trails!

    Twin bed change

"Worth it" or not is an entirely different conversation that would require a lot more information, so I'm leaving that one alone.  As to converting twin beds into a queen my answer is this; everything is "doable" when both time and money are available.  A lot of times you'll find a holding tank...
