    Neway suspension

Hi all,   I'm looking at a 2004 Winnebago 36' diesel pusher. The brochure states that it has the Neway suspension front and rear on a freightliner chassis. Can anyone explain this to me? Is it a good stable suspension? How would it compare to a similar length and style Holiday Rambler with the...

Buying RV private sale with lien

Hi all, Wife and i have been looking for a motorhome for a few months. We live in northern New Hampshire so almost everything is a long distance transaction.  One of the bigger stumbling blocks is when the seller has a lien. We have found 2 motorhomes that we really like and would buy if not...

    Cummins-Freightliner or Cat-Spartan

Hi all,   Been looking for a class A for a couple of months now. Wife and i are starting to feel a little overwhelmed with the process. We live in Northern New Hampshire so almost everything we want to look at is a long way away. We have already made several long trips (one to Texas) only to...

    2006 Monaco LaPalma gas

After a while I slowly figured this out. It's really 2005 built in May/05 rolled out as a 2006. The info is right if you look at the 2005 brochure but doesn't jive with the 2006 info. The UVW is 20600, GVW is 22000 and gcvw is 26000 so with towing my Equinox it doesn't give me much for cargo.

    2006 Monaco LaPalma gas

yes Gary you are right. I found out that it was manufactured in 05 of 2005 and went out the door as a 2006. So it's really an 05 in my mind.  I think that clears things up for me. Now I have to find out what the UVW is if I can without actually weighing it. I would have to buy it to do that...

    2006 Monaco LaPalma gas

Gary,   Thanks for taking the time to reply to my posts. I'm not sure what the floor plan sub model would be or how do identify it. It is the PCT floor plan according to the brochure. The bigger issue for me is trying to ascertain how much cargo I can carry and whether or not I can safely tow a...

    2006 Monaco LaPalma gas

Thanks Gary. I know for sure it's a Ford although the online brochure does contradict that. I have the salesman getting the weight specs off the vehicle placard as well as the vin. I'll get this figured out sooner or later. A little slow on the uptake I guess    ???

    2006 Monaco LaPalma gas

Thanks for the reply Gary.  I was reading the brochure online and it doesn't make any sense. It differentiates between a Ford and W-24 chassis in one place, then in another place says the W-24 is a required option on the PCT. There is a big difference between the two in CCC. I don't believe it...

    Houston, Tx to Sedalia, MO

Hi all,   Looking for route suggestions from Houston to Sedalia. Have been considering a couple of options one of which initially would be I-10 to Lafayette, La then head north on 49. I have read some past posts about some of the roads being closed due to the flood there a while back so looking...

Well I thought that since I'll be in Texas I should at least get a steak dinner and some Mexican or Tex-Mex.

    Winnebago chassis question (and more)

I was looking at a couple of motorhomes this week. Both were in comparable condition, very nice. Both were 2005 Winnegabo Adventurers. One was a 37B 37 foot with 3 slides, workhorse chassis (I was told W22), 22.5" tires, it had opposing rear slides, 44k miles. The other was and Adventurer 35...

Knob Noster or other Missouri campgrounds

I used to live in Warrensburg and Sedalia and was stationed at WAFB. Wife and I go back to visit family and always stay at Knob Noster SP. It's a good place and easy in and out with our big rig. We'll be there again sometime in the next few weeks.
