Knob Noster or other Missouri campgrounds

We are planning a trip to visit one of the DW's friends this summer.  They are presently stationed at Whiteman AFB in Missouri.  While doing my planning, I saw that Knob Noster State Park is just a few miles from there.

Has anyone been there before?  Any reviews you could give? Any other locations around there that are recommended?

Haven't been there personally, but the reviews on rvparkreviews.com are pretty positive:  http://www.rvparkreviews.com/regions/missouri/knob-noster/knob-noster-state-park .  I find them to generally be pretty reliable.  Looks like just the type of park I like to stay at.

  I used to live in Warrensburg and Sedalia and was stationed at WAFB. Wife and I go back to visit family and always stay at Knob Noster SP. It's a good place and easy in and out with our big rig. We'll be there again sometime in the next few weeks.
