    Winterizing Question (no antifreeze option).

Blowing out the lines will not help with the traps. Use the pink stuff to be sure. This spring take extra water with you for purging the lines. Blowing them out In my experience just won't get it done.

Year Round Travel Trailer in RV Park ?? Help Please

I lived in Missouri for many years. The pink RV anti-freeze is your friend. Be sure to get all the tanks and traps, don't forget the toilet. You should have a 'winterize bypass' for your hot water heater, remove the drain plug. Don't leave the propane heat on, a small space heater set low will...

    TV On House Batteries

just my 2 cents ... when we are in a campground and no power, we run the tv and computer off the 12v using an inverter. This means we start the engine and let it idle. charges the batteries and is very quiet.

    Trailer security ?

I don't own one but, I understand you can get GPS transmitters that will let you know where your vehicle is.

Fishing in the Cowlitz river, WA

Wife and I went fishing in the Cowlitz river with guide Larry Scott last week (Washington). We caught our limit of 6 Steelhead trout, the largest of which was around 9 lbs. Right now the Humpies (pink salmon) and Coho are starting to run into the rivers. Unfortunately we are in a drought and...

    Ford E450 12v supply

We upgraded the dash radio in our E450 class c to a Pioneer unit that has a video display. This gives us a camera view of the trailer or toad. The default mode is for the video/rear camera to come on only when you shift into reverse. Wife discovered it was possible to make the video work all the...

    Towed vehicle

Figured out the problem, the fellow that installed the brake assist on our Honda ran the umbilical power to pin 4 (I think). Same shop, different tech, RV was wired hot to the center pin. Took just a little effort to straighten out. A the same time I installed the RVI toad regulator. I expect...

    Towed vehicle

We have had 3 Class C motorhomes and pulled a Grand Cherokee behind us a  lot of miles. It weighed about 4800 lbs and much as I loved it wasn't the best of choices. We now tow a 2012 Honda CRV at 3200 lbs and am very impressed. We still haven't worked out the battery drain problem but feel...

    Windows 10 Reservation made.......

I'm no beginner, let me say this... My wife downloaded the Win 10 upgrade. It ate our laptop or the BIOS to be more precise, same result. We had an app tonight for them to call and help us, guess who didn't call, and the wife spent an hour on the phone waiting for tech support, never came on to...

Is a brake buddy that important, just weighing the cost

I would suggest you go with SMI. Their system is permanently installed under the hood. It also is a proportional braking system which the others are not, mostly.

    Alternatives to Baseplate for Wrangler?

93 Grand Cherokee Roadmaster all-terrain tow bar with baseplate. This tow bar will let you unhitch from most any angle you will find yourself in, very useful! The baseplate comes off when you don't want it. I've never had mine off.

    Fold a Bed

We recently purchased a class C with a sofa bed (no fixed bed) that must have been designed by a sadist. This torture device has a metal frame and springs around the perimeter, these springs are joined by laced wire. The frame ends right under the pillow where I like to put my arm. The sofa is...
