    Boondocking in a TT

We often boondock and leave the trailer, I think you can summarize like this. Thieves are basically lazy and more likely to be in more populated areas, even close to their homes. Unless someone stubbles across your trailer and decides to break in its probably less likely than in your driveway...

Protecting generator from weather while boondocking

I simply pull my plastic folding table over top of my Honda eu3000 if its rainy. It is pretty weather proof and the table just keeps everything from getting a direct hit. Works fine and doubles as a TABLE :) when needed after the rain stops. Nothing extra to keep up with and always loaded in the...

    Baby Solar Ordered

I have the same thing and like it. I purchase my suitcase to use in the day when we are all about and not in the camper but still want to keep our ice maker going. I look forward to shutting down the genny and having fresh ice all day for my refreshments. I also use it on the weekends to charge...

    Generator problem (onan micro 4000)

I was having lots of trouble with mu Onan 4000 starting. Long primes and several attempts to start. I installed a fuel shut off on the gas line, every time I shut the genny down I shut the valve and run the fuel out of the carb. Since I installed the shut off it starts on the first time after...

I was shocked at how my A/C air handling is done, and what I did to fix it.

Just to be clear since you did not say which two wires did you not use? It is clear the Yellow and green were used but then you show a red which is jumped to a striped wire Is that the red in your final wiring and the white shows a blue wire jumped. which white did you use?

When has a RV company gone too far?

My favorite comments to Sales guys when asked well what are you willing to pay for this unit? I tell them very quickly as little as possible, because it does not matter what price I'm willing to pay it only matters what price  they are willing sell and throw them a ridiculous low number. That...

Help me create a checklist of things needed to stock a new camper.

I use my Phone to make a list of things I would like to get for the RV. When I get into the store I just review the list and pickup what I want. You figure out quickly what you will need and what would be nice to have. We pretty much have it all and then some so if something breaks I can replace...

    Travel trailers and Dirt Roads

We have a TH and take it of the road all the time, however I have had a couple issues. We were arriving into a area that we have always camped in the past without any issue when the property owner had done some grading and the road we needed to use had a pretty steep slope down. I did not think...

    Flexible Sewer/Grey water Pipe Connection

I too share your thoughts about the low hanging piping.... We have a Carbon31 with two dump points forward and aft of the axles. I am always concerned about snatching one off as I venture into the backwoods. I really makes no sense to have 2 foot clearance on the framing and only 12" clearance...

    purposes of toy hauler

We have a Carbon 31 we can sleep 7 very comfortable with the garage area used as a guest suite for my Daughter and the Grand kids. They have a separate room for privacy and its great when you put the kids down you can close the door, they have their own TV and we can watch TV without hearing...

Fresh water is sloshing out - any advice?

I can appreciate your concern but if you know you have a water problem then it is something you will remember,  Or you will be at your site without enough water. My water tank was not pressurized when filling it had a open fill so it never created the situation of pressure in the tank, I would...

    Propane Fire Pits

We purchased off amazon a the outland firebowl Premium and love it.  It was 125.00 but it is great for camping or having a quick fire on the deck without worrying about wood. It so nice to drop and light the pit instead of lugging wood, not to mention the fire bans most campgrounds have now.

Fresh water is sloshing out - any advice?

I had the same issue with another camper we had. I would get to my boondocking location with 1/4 less water so I put a simple shut off valve on the overflow tube. Just remember to open it when filling or you can have another problem to deal with.

    Macerator pumping distances

I too have a macerator pump I used on occasion. I had the same issue with the pump overheating and tripping, making the dump process longer than needed. I think that second pump would solve that problem as well. Thanks for the idea.
