    Dewinterize or not?

Our new TT is supposed to be ready for pickup mid January (not holding my breath). We got a super deal on a 2703WS built to our specs.  :D YAY The one teensy thing I overlooked, was the need to fetch the unit from Grand Rapids Michigan in January. Or February.  :( Being a former Yankee...

    Eclipse Camping

There are a few websites that post the track of the eclipse. You need to be as directly below it as possible, as close enough doesn't count. You do know the eclipse lasts for less than 2 minutes right? We will be seeing it in South Carolina

Best "duct" tape for Basement AC

HD carries aluminum metal tape, 2 inches wide. Its pretty pricy, but sticks very well and outlasts grey duct tape by miles. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Nashua-Tape-1-89-in-x-50-yd-322-Multi-Purpose-HVAC-Foil-Tape-1207792/100030120

    Towing X 3!

Towing 2 trailers is legal in Texas. I've checked that. As long as the total length is under 65 feet, I'm good to go. Right now I am looking at adding a hitch to the frame of my TT to tow a small box trailer under 2000 pounds. There are a few made by different manufacturers. I'm looking for...

Can't get my gfci to reset

GFCI's are tricky. 1- Try unplugging everything before restting the GFCI. 2- Try hitting the trip button before pressing the reset button 3- Try wiggling the reset button to get it to stay. Sometimes the mechanism isn't wonderful and has nothing to do with electric. 4- Replace the GFCI

Furnace is making my blood boil, but not my Rv

My guess is the sail switch not operating under real life conditions. Try adding a piece of tape to the end of the sail switch to add more wind resistance. If that works, install a new sail switch. BTDT

    Propane Fire Pits

We bought our LP fire pit at Lowes end of season sale for $90. The screw on lid is great. No worries about fire bans, taking wood across state lines, hot coals to extinguish, or people playing with the fire cause they know better how to stack logs than you do. We have a spare 20 pound LP tank...

    New TT problems.

^^ What Friz said. Learn to fix it yerself.  The red carpet platinum elite CW membership is useless. After a one too many head-my-head-against-the-wall experiences at CW,  we lernt the drive up and back wasn't worth the effort to get stuff repaired. When the 2 year warranty was over we didn't...

    How To Settle Noisy Neighbors

Another life ago, little known to me  I was driving through New Orleans on Mardi Gras day Pulling my newly purchased demo trailer. We had no idea where to go but managed to drive into the French Quarter. A rather well endowed woman dressed in a police uniform stopped us in the street then...
