    Jayco Owners - New Resource/Forum

FYI for Jayco owners! There is a new forum for Jayco owners.  Its inception was this summer.  The members are trying to get the word out that this forum now exists.  It would be great to eventually see the Jayco Forum evolve into a great resource as the RVforum Community has...

FYI - 2010 Jayco owners and squeeking brakes

Is anyone else having major squeeling problems eminating from the brakes of their new 2010 Jayco trailer?  Do you know someone who is?  There is a "fix" now. Finally heard back from our dealer. They spoke with "Dexter" who said they were having problems with the magnets on the newer...

Tire Rotation.... Dealer didn't rotate tires! Should they have been rotated?

UPDATE:  We felt confident now to contact the dealer regarding this issue.  The manager said that for our new truck with 8k miles and the type of wear that all four tires showed (as well as the fact that our maintanence plan had already paid for it), the tires should have been rotated.  He...

Tire Rotation.... Dealer didn't rotate tires! Should they have been rotated?

Just got off the phone with a tire company here in town.  The guy said that the tires should be rotated regularily for even wear.  He also said that the Department of Transportation states that the rear tires (trucks) should have the "more" tread on them.  I don't have a lot of time this morning...

Tire Rotation.... Dealer didn't rotate tires! Should they have been rotated?

We just took our truck in for it's 7500 mile oil change/tire rotation (actually had a little more than that). When I questioned the tire rotation (I noticed they weren't rotated), the guy said that the front tires have more tread so they left all alone(!). Hmmmmm, I'm not a mechanic, but I...

Wax on Painted Aluminum (Jayco Jay Flight)

We just hired someone to wash and wax our two month old tt.  This is the guys business and we met him while he was cleaning a neighboring motorhome.  It never occured to either of us to ask what the guy would use.  After all was said and done, he said that he used a cherry carnuba wax on the...

    Thousand Trails Membership ????

Here are a couple of threads that covered some info on TT/Naco, RPI, and C2C  (C2C isn't available to TT/Naco members).  Also, FYI, with some of the newer memberships, when you take it over from someone on a 10 year contract (typical), the 10 years begin all over again with you.  This means that...

Are our pipes protected if we *travel* in freezing range temps?

Thanks for the information.  We'll make sure to keep the water heater on. I'll watch the night time temps closely also.. If it looks like the temp will dip down around freezing for just a night, we won't worry about it then.  But if it goes down much further and llasts for more than a night...

Help... Our new trailer squeeks/squeels.... are our brakes compramised?

We tried and did apply the hand brake (in the truck) at slow speed and it stopped the trailer and truck with no squeek.  But when we slowly pulled out, the trailer (near the axles) once again started to squeek.  It is defintiely coming from the axles of the trailer.  Sooooo, this has happened...

Are our pipes protected if we *travel* in freezing range temps?

OK, if I try to decipher what has been posted so far.... with the Jayco Enclosed Underbelly we can head to the California regions that fall below 32 degrees *at night8 for one or two nights and not have to worry about anything as long as we keep the furnace going (not a problem as I like to...
