The furnace in my 2-year-old 5th wheel comes on initially when I turn on the thermostat, but often stops after running for around 30 seconds. I can usually get it to come on and stay on, but it can take 3 or 4 cycles of turning the thermostat on and off (and waiting a few minutes in between)...

I owned one of those (bought new in 1996). As I recall, with the gas bottles open, all I had to do was set the thermostat and the  furnace would kick in automatically. The furnace was very good, as I recall.

The 24 RLS looks very similar, except for the rear sleeper as an option. My wife loves the slide-out wardrobe in the bedroom, and the self-contained bathroom. We're waiting for warmer weather to take it on it's maiden trip ... hopefully by mid-April! Jayco also makes a lightweight Eagle...
