Although the MCD shades were expensive, we love them and are very, very happy we made the change. Just last month we replaced our KingDome with the Winegard Trav'ler HD dish...wish we had done it sooner. It works! We are thinking about recovering our chairs and valences. Did you do it yourself...

This may be too late for your October trip, but we recently stayed at the Burnidge Forest Preserve/ Paul Wolff Campground in Elgin, IL about 40 miles northwest of Chicago. It's a beautiful campground with 50 amp service and water spigots scattered that you can hook up to if it's not too busy...

And in our ignorance, we assumed because our HD wasn't coming in that it must have been our cables. Yes, HDMI cables would be an improvement, but in our case not necessary. It was the B-Band Converters that we needed and got.

Well, after a very long but productive phone call to DirecTV, we have fixed the problem without rewiring the coach with HDMI cable. That may be something we would want to do down the road, but right now we have the HD we were looking for using the existing component (blue, green, red) cables...

Thanks for both informative answers. We now know what we need to do. Since it's not practical to relocate our receiver and dvd player, we'll creatively get the HDMI cable through the coach to the TV. We're open to suggestions as to routing that cable as discretely as possible.
