Thanks for the info folks. Lunch with the execs sounds interesting. I would have enjoyed that.

Any breaking or interesting news from those attending the Grand National Rally this year? Haven't heard a thing about it on any RV forum this year.

    DesMoines Iowa to Branson

Anyone take US 65 from Des Moines to Branson and is that a good route or is I35 the better way to go?

    Basement Air Problem

I should clarify a bit.  The Tech said it could be the blower motor capacitor located on top of the motor.  However, since the entire unit had to be removed and opened up to get to that capacitor he gave me the option of checking the capacitor and if that was not the fix he would order the motor...

    Basement Air Problem

Blower motor replaced today by a mobile tech with my help for the muscle.  All is good again.  It's a wonderful 72 degrees in the motor home. Thanks to everyone who replied. Jon

    Basement Air Problem

Would it be prudent to bring the jacks up when the tech comes to replace the basement AC blower motor?  The AC unit has to come out to get to the motor.

    Basement Air Problem

The fan capacitor is in the same area.  I chose not to replace it because the indoor fans were running properly.  The tech replaced that capacitor and still not working. What the diagram on that access door calls the outdoor blower is what is not running.  Ordered a new motor for that and it...

    Basement Air Problem

Got and replaced all of the start and run capacitors.  Not the fix.  RV tech came out this morning.  Good news is compressors are starting up and running but the fan that cools the condensers is not coming on.  He is getting an additional capacitor for the indoor and outdoor blower to see if...

    Basement Air Problem

Lesson learned.  Do not tell them it's an RV basement air.  I should have my capacitors on Monday or Tuesday and the forecast is for mild temperatures through the weekend so we will not suffer too much.  Just hope this is the fix. Thanks again for all the responses. Jon

    Basement Air Problem

Gave up chasing parts locally.  When I would mention the Basement AC most HVAC people acted like I was talking a foreign language.  One tried to help me but could not get the start capacitor. Called my old reliable Lichtsinn RV in Forest City and ordered all new capacitors, both start and run. ...

    Basement Air Problem

Thanks for the additional tips.  I'm in the process of trying to find the capacitors locally.  Not having much luck.  I believe I'm going to have to order them.  I'll keep you posted as to the results. Jon

Thank you John.  I think I'm going to give it a shot this morning.  You do make it sound pretty easy. I'll let you know how it turns out. Jon

    Basement Air Problem

Ours will not even start up.  Just the fans come on. It's times like this I wish I would have worked in the HVAC and Plumbing trades. Jon

    Basement Air Problem

Thanks for the replays.  I'm on 50amp shore power.  I called my dealers service department (Lichtsinn) and they echoed John saying it was probably the start capacitors.  I called a RV Repair facility down here and they just said the unit needed to be replaced.  They do not trouble shoot them. ...

    Basement Air Problem

Starting to get warm in Southern Alabama and my basement air worked fine yesterday.  Didn't need it last night as cooled down nicely outside.  Today we set the air at 74 and went to the beach.  Came home to a 96 degree motor home and no AC running.  One of the 20 amp AC circuit breakers was...
