    Hi from Montana

Shoot.  I was only 150k shy of their standard low price!  Too much and too big for me.  Ken

    Shurflo pump cycles on/off

Thanks Mark.  There really isn't much to the water pump diaphragm part. I hesitated working on it until I got courage from all who posted here. One just needs to be sure everrything goes back where it belongs. We will be taking off for a few day trip soon and will see how it goes. Ken

    Hi from Montana

Yes, they are well built.  They now make 3 models.  The smallest is the Bengal.  He used to have 2 models of the Bengal, the CX and the TX.  He's now eliminated the CX, which is what we have.  Same floor plan only the CX is not as tall and the TX has double-pane windows.  Perfect for a 5ft...

New ideas off the beaten track

I haven't seen either of these choices on this thread or the van conversion thread.  So, as I am new to this forum, I will throw them out. Both of these are great on the highway but, better off the highway.  You want to see some back country roads, check it out. First: I owned a Sportsmobile...

    Shurflo pump cycles on/off

Thanks Mark. Yeh, I can get a new one at PPL for $79.  While I was away from the forum, I got my nerve up and started to disassemble the pump. I took off the end cap and more, and exposed the diaphragm section. I check for blockage and dryness.  All seemed good but,  I had noticed that when I...

    Shurflo pump cycles on/off

It seems to me that I will now research repair kits and see what they include.  It looks like you just unscrew the end of the pump and go from there.  Thanks to all who responded.  I will be happy to entertain any other conversation son the matter.  Ken

    Hi from Montana

Don't forget, the price includes a brand new shiny truck!  Ours was a little cheaper because we got a new 2013 truck (0 miles) in June 2015, and got $8k off, plus we got credit for eliminating some items, such as gen and microwave.  Ken

    Shurflo pump cycles on/off

No leaks.  We had it on the road for a month, using toilet, shower, hot/cold water.  A leak inside would have been seen. I can actually see most of the line except under the shower floor.  But, a leak there would eventually show up on the cabin floor.  Also, I've checked underneath and have not...

    Shurflo pump cycles on/off

Another clue is that after I turn off the pump, wait a while and turn it back on, it re-pressurizes itself for a few seconds and then continues the on/off cycle.  Hopefully, I can do the repair myself, what ever it is, and save bunches of money!  I believe I read somewhere there are repair kits...

    Hi from Montana

Hello all,  I have just registered to this forum.  I was researching water pump problems and tuned into this forum.  After reading through the thread, I decided this would be a great forum to get answers to questions and to get ideas from other RV'ers. Until 2001, my wife and I mostly tent...

    Shurflo pump cycles on/off

Hi, As a guest,  I read a thread somewhere on this forum that discussed pumps.  Mostly, they had problems with the pumps when the faucets were open.  So, I just joined hoping someone can offer advice. My problem with the Shurflo model 4008-101-A65 is that it cycles on and off every 1-3 seconds...
