Our Truma Aquago Comfort is good to 0F when running. At night in below freezing temperatures we just leave it in the comfort or eco mode. It keeps itself warm in eco and in comfort also the water lines. When driving in below freezing we turn the propane off for safety. We have an optional...
After two winters of cold weather camping I got tired of fighting the power cord when stowing it. Also I have had two times where the two year old OEM twist lock cord was installed but needed to be jiggled before the RV had shore power. That is not good.
So I bit the bullet and built an all...
Lot's of good logs in the RV Forum files. Before we went in 2003 we down loaded all that were there and referenced them in our planning. We did the trip in a 'B', traveled clockwise and had a wonderful once in a life time experience. BC also was very beautiful and glad we did not miss it...
Son and I had a planned end of February camping trip to Michigan's UP. Prepping my RV for the trip the propane system failed due to propane solenoid valve failure. Night time lows for two of the three nights were projected to be 12f-14f. And the first two days high ~18f. Did a work around and...

"Burn barrel"? If you are referring to the fire pit it is provided at all Michigan State Park campsites. Typical construction is double steel ring with gravel in-between with some having a cement cap. Safer for kids.
Our 'B' has a German 'Truma AquaGo® comfort plus' instant water heater. It has been a pleasure to use. We have not taken winter (ie: below 32f) showers but in the spring, summer, fall it has been fine. We normally leave it at 120f in the daytime (highest programmable setting) but when taking...
Looking for an RV power cord that remains flexible below 32f. Our 30 foot 30 amp RV power cord is a bear to roll up when the outside temp. is below 32f.
Not needed until I get home. I added heaters to our class B. It is now a truly 4 season rig. The heaters and insulation keep the tanks, drain pipes good down to at least 10f (our coldest camping weather yet). Our B also has Truma water heater and furnace that are excellent German designs and...
