    Back flush issue

I did solve this issue. Did not find any kind of backflow preventer I have to assume it is mounted on top of the tank. Thanks FR no way to get to it unless you drop the tank. Turned out it had dried out and sealed shut from being unused when it was in for repair. I put regulated air to it. It...

    Back flush issue

I seem to have a plugged backflush. Can not get any water to go into the tank. Have tried some things to clean the tank out but not working. Have seen some things on here about a check valve in the line. I figured the tip was plugged but if there is a check valve where would I find it?

Over nighting at Pilot or Flying J

Stayed in a Pilot in Decatur AL once. It was late and did not want to pull into the camp we stay at, that late at night and disturb the other campers. Worked great and even got help from a trucker spotting it. No problem at all but I still do not do it. I think if I can get a spot at a Mom and...

    Avoiding Nashville

The bottle neck I have ran into each time has been when going south you hit major construction around 24 and 65. Going north or to the east side of Nashville has not been an issue. But if you are going on the west side using 65 I have never had an easy time no matter what time of day. Made about...

    Avoiding Nashville

Thanks Grashley I will look at the route today. I am coming from Ill and I try and time my fill up in Paducah. It is a 7 hour drive from our home to there. That's enough for one day and we stop at exit 4. There is a Pilot there and Fern Lake camp we use. I like to fill up with the rig off so it...

    Avoiding Nashville

Atlanta is another one. Problem with Nashville is when you are going south. They have been working on that side for three years. Always backed up and when you do get past that everyone is going nuts and driving like crazy. Not a good combo with 40 feet on the back. I try to time it best I can...

    Avoiding Nashville

I did mention I was going to Decatur Al. but thanks. I will be heading to Florida at some time but first I am heading to Talladaga for the race. Your route would be good if I was going direct to Florida which may be an option on my way home. Thanks looking for any way to avoid the mess in Nash.

    Avoiding Nashville

Heading south soon and looking to not go into Nashville. Was looking at Google maps and was wondering if anybody else has used some of the Alt routes. We will be driving to Paducah the first day then going Decatur the next. Mapping shows two alt routes that do not add much time to the trip. Last...

    Most white knuckle experiences.

Hey Rancher Will I live on the Ill/Iowa line and I have had this happen so many times in Iowa. Must be taught in drivers ed. LOL My wife says it only happens to me. Not anymore thank you. BTW she grew up in Iowa and riding with her driving is a white knuckle event in it's self. I always drive...

    Most white knuckle experiences.

Coming across Iowa on I-80 from Neb to Ill. About where the wind farms are hit some high winds and bad weather. Not uncommon for this area. I was driving a Ford Expedition pulling a 29 foot Captiva. Rig did not handle well in high cross winds so I was already in white knuckle land. Just then the...

    Where do you dump

I might as well dump into the water ditch. The neighbors septic is washed out and exposed. when it overflows the stink the floats this way is pretty bad. I hunted down the stink one day. Hike into the woods and found the tank. It is sticking out of the ground and leaking. On another note the...

Need help choosing our next tow vehicle

Sounds like you are a SUV person but may want to look at pickups. With a crew cab there is room for the kids. As long as you are still pulling a TT you can put a topper on it or lock boxes. When there are no kids in the back seat area works good for stuff as well. Most newer light trucks get 20...
